*Slovakia is a state in a heart of Europe

*There are five million Slovak people living in the area 49,000 square kilometres

*Slovakia´s neighbours are Czech republic, Austria, Hungary, Ukraine and Poland.

*The only official language is Slovak

* The country joined the European Union in 2004

*President of Slovak republic is Ivan Gašparovič and

the Prime Minister is Róbert Fico

*The largest city is the capital, Bratislava

Hiking to Rysy shallet

*The trip started in Štrbské pleso where we left our car.From there we walked to Popradské pleso (1500m ).It took us about 1 hour 30 minutes.Afteter the small refreshment we started never ending hike.In 5hours 30 minutes we reached the peak of Rysy (2500m ).On the way down we stoped for big lunch in the shalet with the highest position in Slovak mountains (2250m ).
