Up until the 14th century there was only one community

in the Saas Valley: Saas. Four villages arose out of Saas -

of those four Saas Fee, also known as "The Pearl of the

Alps", is the most renowned!

Placed in the Swiss Alps near the Italian border, Saas-Fee is known for its proximity to 4-thousanders, or

mountains more than 4,000m above sea level.

The Swiss Ski Resort of Saas-Fee is part of the Saastal

ski area with access to 100km of downhill skiing,

with 56 individual pistes, served by 35 ski lifts.

ICE ON TOURJANUARYIce climbing fanatics from all over the world meet again

in the park house of the Glacier Village in order to

as the usual mountain biker does, but cross glaciers and

ice and cover 1,700 meters in altitude.
