MISSION
Using effective, humane dog
population management and
animal welfare; to make Rabies
History in Sri Lanka!
TextText
Once the dogs were
captured, we placed
them in holding cages
just outside the
surgery van. We pre-
med them in the
holding cage prior to
surgery. They also
recovered in the cages
after surgery.
This is our sterile surgery van. I’m
preparing antibiotics and pre-med
drugs inside the van and performing
a spay. The table was a bit low for me,
but I managed.
The Vet checking to
make sure my
incision is adequate
and in the right
location. He was
happy with it.
The locals with their dogs.
Big spaying day using both
vans.
Free rabies vaccine day for all
dogs.
Free spaying and vaccines
available to the locals.
Long day of spaying dogs. We did a total of
about 50 females. Anyone could come and have
there dog spayed and vaccinated. Got to meet a
lot of lovely people.
Putting a dog in the recovery cage after surgery. This woman
was this dog’s owner. These people really loved their pets.
I’m vaccinating some puppies against rabies.
We are out counting stray dogs in Hatton.
Some cute kids with their puppies to be
vaccinated.
Mother and her pups.
One night a
week we would
do rabies
awareness
night at local
villages. The
purpose of our
presentation
was to educate
the public
about dogs
carrying and
