Hey, Ryan! I’ve been remembering about my country (I know that it could sound weird, but I’ve been traveling as a tourist there just a couple of times, mostly with my wife… when I lived in Colombia, I used to go to the same places with my family every year or travel with basketball team to different competitions all around the country, but there was no time for real “tourism”…)and talking with some friends, and that’s what I could suggest…:

Hey, Ryan!I’ve been remembering about my country (I know that it could sound weird, but I’ve been traveling as a tourist there just a couple of times, mostly with my wife… when I lived in Colombia, I used to go to the same places with my family every year or travel with basketball team to different competitions all around the country, but there was no time for real “tourism”…)and talking with some friends, and that’s what I could suggest…:

• First of all, check some general information at • http://www.colombia.travel/en/international-

tourist/vacations-holidays-where-to-go/

• I don’t know how long are you planning to stay there, but for approx. 10 days I would suggest the following places:

1. Bogota

1. Bogota (2 days) - is the capital and so on… there are lots of interesting places, museums, but at least you have to go to Monserrate, from where you can see the whole panorama of the city, Gold museum, Botero Museum, Bolivar square, Presidential Palace (all these places are almost in the same area...)

+ Salt Cathedral of Zipaquira (http://www.nuevalenguatours.com/english/tours.htm) – you can get there by a touristic train (on Saturdays and Sundays)+ Laguna de Guatavita - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lake_Guatavita -- just if you have enough time! But it's worth it!

2. Cartagena & Islas del Rosario (3 days) – no comments! It’s just amazing!

3. Santa Marta & Sierra nevada & Tayrona National park (1-2 day) – Santa Marta is very close to Cartagena… you could rent a car or go by bus and visit the Parque Tayrona… it’s a unique place in the world with lots of virgin beaches, forest, places for camping, snow at the top (sierra nevada) and even a “lost city” somewhere…Check: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tayrona_National_Natural_Park

4. San Andres (2 days) – If you like Jamaica, sun and beach, reggae, surf you have to go there…Check: https://www.google.ru/search?q=san+andres&newwindow=1&client=firefox-a&hs=waE&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=G2rYUev6Hs7c4QSxxYHIBA&ved=0CEkQsAQ&biw=1366&bih=664

5. Coffee region (2 days) – I’d say that it is the heart of the Colombian nature and culture…http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coffee-Growers_Axis
