TEDtoChina Salon
TEDtoChina Salon was created in the spirit of TED's mission, "ideas worth spreading." It is designed to give communities, organizations and individuals the opportunity to stimulate dialogue through TED-like experiences at the local level. Salon is a small quarterly recurring event that keeps a TEDtoChina community engaged between larger TEDx events.

It started out (in Apr. 2010) as a regional meet-up bringing together people from different domains, art, design, business, education, technology, etc. More TED speakers will join our salon in the future.

• He is a PhD student in the Fluid Interfaces Group at MIT's Media Lab.
• Before his studies at MIT, he worked with Microsoft as a UX researcher; he's a graduate of IIT.
• Selected projects from Mistry's work at MIT includes intelligent sticky notes, Quickies, that can be searched and can send reminders; a pen that draws in 3D.
• Areas of interests: Social Computing, HCI, Interaction Design, Robotics, New media, Cognitive Science, Virtual Reality, Visual Reality, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Interactive Systems and Environments.
