SharePoint 2016 is available from first week of May ,This is the first slide amongst a series of presentation on the Product enhacements .

The topics presented include:

On-premises versions

SharePoint 2016 On-Premises versions :

Available only on 64 bits like the previous versions (2010 & 2013)

1. Standard version2. Entreprise version

Importants notes :

There is no more SharePoint Fondation versionThere is no more SharePoint designer (SPD)2016 , SDP 2013 version is compatible with SharePoint 2016

On-Cloud versions

SharePoint 2016 is available in différent On-Cloud versions Office 365 ( Microsoft Saas):

Currently is not available by default, you need to change it on the admin O365 console by activating « First Release » mode

Azure ( Microsoft Saas & PaaS ) :

It is available on the Azure portal with SharePoint trail version It is available on the current Azure portal and not on the portal preview one

Physical Architecture On-Premises
