A tale of two processorsSamsung recently announced that its Exynos 8 Octa chip will combine an LTE modem and processor into the same chip, a first for the company. Samsung hasn’t confirmed that the Exynos 8 will be the exclusive chip for the Galaxy S7, and a report by SamMobile says that Qualcomm may win a spot back into the device. If Qualcomm’s 820 processor does find its way into the S7, it’ll likely be for specific markets and carriers, and won’t be in all S7 devices.Image credit: Samsung.
