Pivotal SSIS Connector

Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) is a platform for building data integration solutions. It includes graphical tools and wizards for building and debugging data integrations and extraction, transformation, and load (ETL) solutions. SSIS packages can be used for data migration or integration, and they can be run interactively, scheduled to run in the background, or triggered by events. SSIS is part of SQL Server 2005 and 2008, so if your Pivotal CRM implementation runs on this database, you already have SSIS.

The Pivotal SSIS Connector plugs into SSIS and enables it to communicate with Pivotal CRM solutions through supported Pivotal CRM interfaces. It extends the SSIS graphical designer to include Pivotal SSIS components, allowing for easy visual design of integrations and reducing development time and costs. Using components rather than custom code reduces the difficulty and learning curve for integration projects and simplifies ongoing maintenance.

By using the Pivotal SSIS Connector, you ensure that:

Integrated data is synchronized with your Pivotal CRM satellites and mobiles•

Integrated data can be synchronized with handheld devices and Microsoft• ® Outlook®/Exchange

Table formula fields are correctly calculated•

Journaling entries are created for tables with auditing turned on•

Pivotal CRM security is enforced•

Key allocation happens correctly•

The data in your system is supported •

Enable Microsoft® SQL Server™ Integration Services (SSIS) for integration, migration, and maintenance of your data in Pivotal CRM

Sample SSIS Package using Pivotal SSIS Connector

Using SSIS with the Pivotal SSIS Connector streamlines and simplifies integration between Pivotal CRM and other applications.

Design integration packages visually• , allowing for more intuitive, easy integrations

Reduce development time and costs• by using a visual tool rather than coding

Minimize the learning curve• by eliminating the need to learn Pivotal CRM programming interfaces and APIs

Add robustness and ease of maintenance• to your integration and data loads by using components rather than custom code

Extend the value of your investment• in SQL Server 2005 or 2008 by leveraging components you already own
