Air pollution occurs when the air contains gases, dust, fumes or odour in harmful amounts. That is, amounts which could be harmful to the health or comfort of humans and animals or which could cause damage to plants and materials.•In the days before the proliferation of large cities and industry, nature's own systems kept the air fairly clean. Wind mixed and dispersed the gases, rain washed the dust and other easily dissolved substances to the ground and plants absorbed carbon dioxide and replaced it with oxygen.With increasing urbanisation and industrialisation, humans started to release more wastes into the atmosphere than nature could cope with.Since then, more pollution has been added to the air by industrial, commercial and domestic sources. As these sources are usually found in major cities, the gases that are produced are usually concentrated in the air around them. The adverse effects of air pollution were graphically illustrated in London in 1952 when, in just a few days, an estimated 4000 people died from effects of fine particle pollution.

Air pollution is a heterogeneous, complex mixture of gases, liquids, and particulate matter. Epidemiological studies have demonstrated a consistent increased risk for cardiovascular events in relation to both short- and long-term exposure to present-day concentrations of ambient particulate matter. Several plausible mechanistic pathways have been described, including enhanced coagulation/thrombosis, a propensity for arrhythmias, acute arterial vasoconstriction, systemic inflammatory responses, and the chronic promotion of atherosclerosis. The purpose of this statement is to provide healthcare professionals and regulatory agencies with a comprehensive review of the literature on air pollution and cardiovascular disease. In addition, the implications of these findings in relation to public health and regulatory policies are addressed. Practical recommendations for healthcare providers and their patients are outlined. In the final section, suggestions for future research are made to address a number of remaining scientific questions.

Air pollution is one the cause of global waming. So, it can be a big problem for all people in the world and the next generation. It can damage the nature.

This matter is caused by people who don’t know about the danger of air pollution. We need public awareness to fight air pollution and keep our air clean. Another problem is caused by car, motorcycle, and some public transportations. They emit deadly gases. When they go to somewhere, they spread air pollution. Besides, the factory can cause air pollution. Many factories create air pollution.

It is not going to be easy to solve this problem. We, as young generation, should make change so that our city become cool city. Besides, all people should be told about the danger of air pollution.

Air pollution affects so much more than just the air we breathe. Everything living has a need for clean, breathable air, from humans and animals, to plants and trees. These needs make fighting air pollution a major priority for everyone, to help heal and protect our planet and future. First, air pollution is a common issue among large cities, anywhere in the world. High volumes of traffic, large industrial areas, and dense concentrations of people all contribute to the amount of pollution in the area. The effects of air pollution reach around the globe, wreak havoc on people, plants, and animals. Changes to air and water quality create dangerous and even deadly situations. Secondly, breathing polluted air can cause damage to the heart and lungs. Similar to the effects of smoking tobacco, inhaling the particles in polluted air can cause people and animals to develop heart and lung disease that could eventually prove fatal. Those with certain medical conditions may find that high levels of air pollution aggravate their symptoms. People with asthma, allergies, and diseases resulting in breathing problems are usually the worst affected.

In conclusion, we as citizens of the planet must take active steps to curb air pollution by being conscious of our actions.
