RUSSIAN BOY FINDS WOOLY MAMMOTH

It all happened on Fri Oct 5, 2012 10:46 AM— An 11-year-old boy from Russia's north has stumbled upon a well-preserved wooly mammoth, in what scientists describe as the best such discovery since 1901. A mamoth looked like a brown, fury Elephant because of his size, tusks, trunk, and shape. Tikhonov, director of the Saint Petersburg-based Zoological Museum, said that it had died aged 15-16 around 30 thousand years ago. He had been completely frozen dead for years and years—still his tusk, skin, eye and ear were completely visible!

But who actually discovered this? Yevgeny Salinder, whose family lives near a polar station in the northern Taimyr Peninsula, discovered the frozen animal when he was strolling along the banks of the Yenisei River in late August. The boy suddenly felt something unpleseant kind of vibration. He had stepped on the mamoths heels that were sticking out of the ground a bit. His 1 meter long penis was also intact, so Tikhonov stated that he was a male. It was the best preserved animal ever. It took scientists 5 days to dig out the preserved animal out of the frozen ice. Then it was finally transported to the northern city Dudinka."So far we can say it is the mammoth of the century," Tikhonov said”.Remember that Alexei Tikhonov is director of the Saint Petersburg-based Zoological Museum. I don’t know where the museum is.
