maepsa’s CAD offers a 1st class repair complying with international standards. Our Quality Assurance Program provides the selection of automation packages that include process valves, mounting hardware, actuator and control panel as an integrated solution that ensures efficiency in your operation.

Furthermore, we provide a complete overhaul of actuators and instrumentation. The assemblies are fully disassembled, diagnosed, cleaned, reassembled, calibrated, and tested to meet technical requirements and international quality standards like API, ANSI, ASME, NOM, etc according to each case.

You can count on us to complete your repair quickly following the manufacturer’s procedures and maintaining quality standards. Our CAD technicians have the resources to inspect, diagnose, repair and recalibrate your equipment. What do we do?

Based in Hosuton, Texas, Certus manufactures self-contained valve actuators, high pressure hydraulic linear valve actuators, hydraulic power units and pneumatic, hydraulic and electric controls systems. These products were designed with the knowledge of the real working conditions and challenges faced by the end users. Furthermore, Certus supplies automation and control solutions for customers in the oil, gas and process areas.

SP Series Self Contained Valve Actuator

SP Series Design • Valve actuator that stores its own power and

allows for the remote wireless control of the valve

• Ideal for use in applications where power is not available or is unreliable

• Self contained system guarantees multiple operations of the actuator

• Has minimal tubing which reduces leakage points and makes it virtually zero-leakage

• Modular design allows for future upgrades

• For linear and quarter-turn valves

Capabilities Linear actuators, double acting, thrust output to 600,000 lbs,

linear motion range up to 72”, power supply pressure up to 5,000 psi.

Spring return actuators are also available.

Operating Philosophy

• Hydraulic fluid is used to operate the actuator. This fluid is stored in a hydraulic tank and a hydraulic accumulator. This stored power allows for the multiple operation of the valve without the need of an external power source.

• Low power solenoid valves are used to open and close the actuator.

• An explosion-proof, 4-20 mA transducer is built into the actuator and provides position indication feedback.

• PLC based technology and SCADA system interface is included.

• Wireless technology is included in order to control and monitor the actuator.

• Data is received and sent via a RTU.

• A solar panel and/or wind turbine generates electric energy for the UPS, RTU and the solenoids.
