Ĝ Things didn’t go off smoothly and lawsuits were filed against Google. The negative aspect is Google Book Search has always been controversial because it scans books still under copyright without obtaining permission from the authors and publishers.

Legal acquisitions

Ĝ One is a class action suit on behalf of authors (Authors Guild v. Google, Sept. 20 2005) and the other is a civil lawsuit brought by five large publishers and the Association of American Publishers. (McGraw Hill v. Google, Oct. 19 2005)

Mutual agreements to solve the problem
