Creating a Mask

• Draw a shape over your photograph (the fill must be white)

• Feather the shape (optional)• Select all• Click Modify- Mask- Group as Mask

Button• 200x200 pixels (72 pixels/in)• Click Edit- Insert- New Symbol• Under symbol Type select Button

• Click Window-Library to viewsymbols

Interface

• 700x580 pixels (72 pixels/in)• Using the Library tab, click Import

Symbols• Select the file with your button symbols• Select the symbols you want to use and

click Import• Create a copyright line on the bottom of

your page:

Importing Images

• Click File- Import• Click the file you want to import• Click Open• Click once inside your file to place

the image

Interface Slices

• Select the crop tool to crop the buttons and logo.

• Select the slice tool and draw a box around the logo. Label the slice logo

• Select the slice tool and draw a box around the navbar. Label the slice navbar

• Save the file as interface_slices

Exporting the Fireworks Template

• Open interface_slices• Click File- Export• Save template.htm in the website

folder with the following settings:
