  • Despite its huge livestock population, Ethiopia could not properly utilize the potential of the livestock sector
  • Lack of systematic collection, compilation, analysis, storage and dissemination of market information is one of the major constraints
  • The economic contribution of the Ethiopian livestock sector can be improved substantially if the sector is better integrated into the local and international markets using available information technologies and other associated products
  • Thus, it is essential to establish a well integrated, dynamic and interactive database that will enable users to get easy access to the required market information
