To further provide greater global accessibility, we now provide Arabic and Hebrew language packs for our talent solutions. Plus, our new org chart makes it even easier to view and assess your workforce by dynamically adjusting the view based on the information being presented. This means your org chart will now automatically and intelligently shift between a horizontal or vertical view depending on the information provided. And you can now open, expand, and view entire teams’ side by side. Release 1408 of SuccessFactors HCM Suite goes live on August 22 for enterprise customers.

Engage, Simplify, and Execute with Innovations Across SuccessFactors® HCM Suite

As part of our ongoing commitment to provide engaging and efficient HR solutions, SuccessFactors, an SAP company, is pleased to provide multiple new innovations across the SuccessFactors® HCM Suite with the August 2014 release. To further provide greater global accessibility, we now provide Arabic and Hebrew language packs for our talent solutions. Plus, our new org chart makes it even easier to view and assess your workforce by dynamically adjusting the view based on the information being presented. This means your org chart will now automatically and intelli gently shift between a horizontal or vertical view depending

on the information provided. And you can now open, expand, and view entire teams’ side by side.

Release 1408 of SuccessFactors HCM Suite goes live on August 22 for enterprise customers.

Here are some highlights of the August release:

• NEW! “QuickGuides” feature in SuccessFactors Learning: Enable everyone in your organization to easily create and share content with our new QuickGuides feature

• NEW! Programs feature in SuccessFactors Learning: Create and deliver academic-style, interval-based learning with the new programs feature

• NEW! Concurrent employment functionality in SuccessFactors Employee Central: Record multiple assignments associated with an employee record

• NEW! SuccessFactors Employee Central Service Center: Improve the efficiency and quality of HR services to help raise the level of employee satisfaction by leveraging call center and help desk capabilities

• Global benefits capabilities: Configure and maintain benefits and enable employees to enroll in benefits, file claims, and track status updates

• Side-by-side deployment capabilities: Use productized integrations to deliver a consolidated view and management of employee data across parallel deployments of the SuccessFactors Employee Central and SAP ERP Human Capital Management (SAP ERP HCM) solutions

SuccessFactors Employee Central Concurrent employment functionality in SuccessFactors

Employee Central. In this release of SuccessFactors HCM

Suite, concurrent employment functionality has been added to

SuccessFactors Employee Central. Based on requests from

customers, organizations now have the ability to record multiple

work assignments associated with one employee record. So you

can fulfill the need to maintain and report on concurrent work

assignments within your workforce by simply adding multiple jobs

within the existing employee record.

SuccessFactors Employee Central Service Center. We are happy to announce the general availability of SuccessFactors Employee Central Service Center, which

offers employees a way to get quick answers to their HR questions. Employees can contact HR via portal, e-mail, or phone, or by querying a context-sensitive knowledge base (optional). The solution also provides HR representatives with the standard tools that are expected from a help desk, such as queue management, ticket assignment, escalation, and SLA reporting. SuccessFactors

Employee Central Service Center makes data in SuccessFactors Employee Central fully accessible to HR representatives via single sign-on. This eliminates the need to view multiple systems to answer employee questions and ensures the security of sensitive employee data. Operations management has visibility into information about what issues are impacting employees with easy-to-read dashboards that deliver actionable insights into employee interactions and help them report on SLA compliance.

Global benefits capabilities. Within SuccessFactors Employee Central, the benefits overview page delivers all benefits information in a single location and enables employees to enroll in benefits, track status updates, or file claims. By making this information available on mobile devices, employees can access their records anytime, anywhere. For benefit administrators, it is very easy to configure and maintain benefits, entitlement, and enroll-ment rules. We’re continuing to add country-specific

benefit types support-ing 16 countries to date. In past releases, benefits were added to support leave travel allowance in India and child education in Korea. In the August release, we’re adding benefits to support employer and state pensions and superan-nuation in Australia.

SuccessFactors Talent solutions In this release, our new org chart dynamically adjusts the layout based on the information being presented. This means your org chart will now automatically and intelli-gently shift between a horizontal or vertical view depending on the information provided. You can also open, expand, and assess entire teams in a side-by-side view. Additionally, our recently introduced presentations feature now supports a new live slide format for reviewing employees’ compensation details. Beyond our cross-talent, foundational capabilities, we’re providing significant advances in each talent solution.

SuccessFactors Learning The August release is a milestone release for SuccessFac-tors Learning. In this release, we’re delivering on our vision to help you increase engagement and create a true learning culture – where everyone in your organization can be both a student and a teacher.

QuickGuides feature. With the QuickGuides feature, you can now deliver a step-by-step, guided way for employees to create and share their own content. This feature makes it easy and fast to create a guide on any topic via employ-ees’ laptop or mobile device. With QuickGuides, you can help ensure more personalized, relevant content, and provide a path for continuous learning that is fun and engaging.

Programs feature. With the programs feature, you can easily create and deliver academic-style, interval-based learning according to the learner’s progress or defined schedule. For example, when you onboard a new female manager, you can easily add a women’s leadership program that is delivered over a specified period of time to better engage, develop, and retain your new hire – without overwhelming her.

SuccessFactors Performance & Goals In our ongoing focus on providing an engaging experience for employees, managers, and HR professionals, the August release includes a new goals management experience, improving usability and delivering more immediate access to planning tools.

SuccessFactors Succession & Development Enhanced career development experience. We’re happy to announce an updated career development user interface that makes important information more visible, potential actions clearer, and navigation even easier. This new experience will also provide better alignment across succession planning and talent processes for existing customers with the previous user interface (version 12).

Suggested roles feature. Also, in the August release, we’re continuing to drive better engagement by providing a new suggested roles feature that automatically recom-mends potential roles that would be a good fit for an employee. The suggested roles are automatically and immediately visible on the employee career development

worksheet – making it easy and quick for employees to view and assess.

SuccessFactors Compensation With this release, we’re continuing our commitment to improve the compensation planning and management experience, while increasing security.

Configurable fields. In the August release, you can create custom fields on the planning worksheet – making it unique to your own organization’s needs. Plus, you can change the default view of the worksheet and edit specific compensation elements, such as a management by objective (MBO) bonus, based on your unique business requirements. With these new capabilities, worksheet fields that are not relevant to your organization can be removed, and included fields can be made visible to specific people, such as HR teams.

Easier local planning. Also, with the August release, you can more easily support different local planning cycles. For example, you can now launch planning worksheets for a specific local group of employees. Plus, you can now leverage one plan template to create worksheets for different times throughout the year. In addition to a cleaner and more relevant planning experience, all of these added enhancements also help improve compensation planning security.

SuccessFactors Recruiting solutions In the August release, we’re simplifying and improving the marketing experience for recruiters, candidates, and all interviewees.

Marketing central. In this release, recruiters can now manage jobs from requisition creation to marketing in one intuitive experience. This seamless workflow simplifies the recruiting marketing process.

Interview scheduling. We’re also simplifying the interview scheduling process. With this release, you can set

ready-for-interview candidates into an interview schedule. Within the interview schedule, you can set interviewer availability and e-mail candidates available time slots. When a time is confirmed, interview booking e-mails can then be sent to all parties with the appropriate information (time, date, location, etc.).

Plus, we’ve added online offer e-signature support in this release. With this new feature, permissioned recruiting users can create and send offers requesting electronic signatures from candidates within the career portal.

SuccessFactors Onboarding

Homepage tour feature. In our ongoing effort to provide an incredibly engaging onboarding experience, our new homepage tour feature highlights key items and actions that new hires need to focus on, like learning courses, communities, meetings, and important tasks. The tour is provided in an intuitive, configurable rotating carousel format that provides easy, quick access to key onboarding items and tasks.

Improved onboarding self-service tools. Additionally, new self-service tools will enable administrators and partners to uniquely configure onboarding forms and processes, such as region and employee type.

SuccessFactors Mobile QuickGuides feature in SuccessFactors Mobile. With the August release of SuccessFactors HCM Suite, enterprise peer-to-peer learning is coming to SuccessFactors Mobile. QuickGuides is our new feature that enables employees to use their mobile phones to easily capture step-by-step instructions on a task or

process, and make them available to anyone in their company. Users can quickly create polished, interactive guides by creating steps, uploading photos, and swiftly annotating instructions. Its ease of use and immediacy puts informal content creation at the reach of anyone who knows how to use a mobile device. With QuickGuides, any employee in your organization can learn anytime, anywhere from peers, experts, and managers.

SAP® JamTM Integration of the SAP Cloud for Customer solution to SAP Jam. Improve sales and collaboration with sales work patterns for account management and opportunity deal rooms for the SAP Cloud for Sales solution.Streamline service ticket resolution for organizations using the SAP Cloud for Service solution. Sales professionals can collaborate to address questions during the sales process and bring in subject matter experts to put their best foot forward.

Quote management work pattern. Expediting sales quotes through the approval process is a critical step in the order-to-cash workflow for sales organizations. To address this need, a quote management work pattern has been created with business data from sales and distribution functionality in the SAP ERP application.

Integration add-on for SAP ERP HCM and SuccessFactors HCM Suite Side-by-side deployment capabilitiesThe first set of packaged integrations to support our side-by-side HCM cloud deployment model is now available. This model provides a consolidated view and management of employee data in SuccessFactors Employee Central in the cloud and existing SAP ERP HCM deployments.

Talent hybrid. We are also introducing SAP Process Integration technology support for the packaged integra-tions that connect SuccessFactors competencies and SuccessFactors Learning curricula to SAP ERP HCM qualifications.
