• All annotations are exposed as Linked Data on the Web…• each annotation has a dereferencable URI• each annotation can be retrieved in RDF or HTML• annotations are linked to other resources (DBpedia, Geonames)

• Annotation data is expressed using the LEMO vocabulary• refines (reuses) terms of the Annotea vocabulary• extensible vocabulary architecture
