• Your potential clients are online – on their laptops, cell phones, and mobile devices.

• You must have a well-developed online presence for your veterinary clinic in order to succeed.

#1 - Basic Information is Easy to Find

• Your clinic’s basic information are easy to find:• Address• Phone• Hours• Email• Social Media

• Put this information in your header, footer, and an easy-to-find Contact Us page.

• It seems like a no brainer, but there are so many who don’t take this crucial step.

#2 – Be Mobile Friendly

• In April 2015, Google announced website with mobile counterparts will be favored in rankings.

• In 2015, 51% of all time spent on digital media is done through a mobile device.1

• If your website isn’t mobile-friendly, chances are it won’t be found.

#3 – Content with Keywords

• Websites with ongoing new and fresh content are important to Google and your clients alike.

• Make sure your standard pages – About Us, Services, Team, etc. – have more than a few sentences per page!

• Another way to add fresh content is through a regular blog.

#4 – Friendly Photos

• Do photos of animals in cages make you feel warm and invited? If not, chances are website visitors feel the same way.

• Avoid stock imagery if possible, and avoid at all costs imagery with needles, knives, or cages.

• Hire a professional photographer to take quality headshots for your “Staff” page.

#5 – Inviting Calls to Action

• What is it you want website visitors to do? Is it to email, call, or stop in? Then ask them to!

• Provide opportunities for visitors to interact with you – click to tweet or share, click to email, and join our mailing list are all great call-to-actions (CTAs)
