Unit aimThis unit provides learners to manage the risk assessment process and to understand theimportance of appropriate practices and procedures.Learners must have access to sport and leisure environment in which to manage a recording systemfor health, safety and risk management.

Learning outcomesThere are four learning outcomes to this unit. The learner will be able to:302.1: Understand the health and safety requirements of employers and employees in sport andactive leisure302.2: Understand how health and safety legislation applies in the workplace302.3: Be able to conduct a risk assessment in a sport and leisure environment302.4: Be able to manage health and safety checks in sport and active leisure

Guided learning hoursIt is recommended that 41 hours should be allocated for this unit. This may be on a full-time or part-timebasis.
