<ul><li> 1. Declarative Sentence Declarative- A declarative sentence is a sentence that shows a statement. Ex: Jim love to play basketball with his friends. Ex: Tom hangs out with his friends everyday.</li></ul> <p> 2. Interrogative Sentence Interrogative- A interrogative sentence is a sentence that asks a question. Ex: Do you want to go to the pool today? Ex: What is your favorite TV show? 3. Exclamatory Sentence Exclamatory- A exclamatory sentence is a sentence that shows excitement. Ex: I love to go to the beach everyday! Ex: You are awesome at basketball! 4. Imperative Sentence Imperative- A command sentence is a sentence that gives a command. Ex: Go clean your room right now. Ex: Pick up your toys off the ground. 5. Simple Sentence A simple sentence is a sentence that has one independent clause. Lets got bowling today John.Some students like to study in the mornings. 6. Compound Sentence A compound sentence contains two independent clauses joined by a coordinator. I love football ,but I love basketball more.I tried to speak Spanish, and my friend tried to 7. Complex Sentence A sentence that contains an independent clause and a dependent clause. The house which Abraham was born in is still standing. The town where I was born in is in the United States. 8. Compound-Complex Sentence A compound-complex sentence that has two independent clauses and one or more dependent clauses. John went to school, but James remained at home because he had a sore throat. If he changes his mind, we shall know for sure that Joe has learned his lesson, but only time will tell. </p>
