This proposal is a combined joint venture on behalf of the Southeast Queensland Branches and their 38 Surf Clubs from Rainbow Beach to Rainbow Bay (Noosa – Coolangatta)

Brief Overview:

Queensland’s 2 x “major summer” surf lifesaving carnivals or the 2009 and 2010 competition season.

■ 1,800 participants ■ 3,000 spectators ■ saturation local media ■ high-level community support ■ high profile elite competitors■ captive audience ■ beach promotional opportunities

The Sizzler Ocean’s 38 surf carnivals will be held in peak summer holiday season, (December /January 2010). Sizzler Oceans 38 will over 2 weekends cumulate more competitors than the annual State Championships. With a bulk of best competitors in the nation based here in Queensland this event has potential to attract interstate entries that will see Oceans 38 in our future as a must attend highly competitive event prior to the annual Australian Championships.
