Sponsors, suiteholders, players, coaches, staff and a few on-the-glass ticket holders were present. Even though the tournament was delayed due to a little rain, it didn't stop attendees from enjoying a day out of the office with the Minnesota Wild. Each foursome was paired with a Wild Celebrity including coaches Todd Richards and Bob Mason, players Brent Burns and Guillaume Latendresse and Wild personalities Tom Reid and Mike Greenlay. Throughout the day, golfers had the opportunity to win prizes for the longest drive, closest to the pin, the longest putt or a car for a hole-in- one. Unfortunately, no one was able to win a new Mercedes Benz from Sears Imported Autos since a hole-in-one was not achieved but there were several great attempts! There was not a clear winner of the tournament but we were able to determine the winner of the foursome photo shoot; Brad Staubitz’s foursome, which included representatives from Blue Media, All Over Media and Beyond the Yellow Ribbon. A special thanks to Subway for providing guests with a variety of sandwich choices for lunch and to Anheuser-Busch for the generous selection of beer throughout the day. We hope to see you again next year! Hockey Unplugged This year’s Hockey Unplugged schedule kicked off on September 21 st at Two Stooges in Fridley. Anheuser-Busch Photo Shoot On September 14th, a few lucky fans participated in a unique photo opportunity sponsored by Anheuser-Busch through a special contest featured on the Official Minnesota Wild Facebook Page. The photo shoot set, located at Sneaky Pete’s in downtown Minneapolis, was created to resemble a night out for Wild players and will be showcased on a special edition poster.

The photo shoot created a unique opportunity for three fans to meet and greet a select group of players: Mikko Koivu, Andrew Brunette, Matt Cullen, Nick Schultz, and Niklas Backstrom. Facebook fans were able to register to win an opportunity to assist with the photo shoot set up, test photos and socialize with the players once they arrived. Of the Facebook winners, one fan traveled all the way from the Upper Peninsula of Michigan to interact with her favorite hockey team. Twitter fans were also following the event as it was taking place. Fans were asked to tweet about their presence at Sneaky Pete’s and one lucky fan and her guest were picked for the third and final spot in the meet and greet. The players enjoyed their time meeting the fans and representing the Minnesota Wild with Anheuser-Busch.

Xcel Energy Center: A Tribute to the Home of Wild Hockey In honor of the 10th Anniversary season, we are taking an in-depth look at Xcel Energy Center, the place fans have called home in the State of Hockey. Featured this month is the Wells Fargo Jersey Wall. The Wells Fargo Jersey Wall has been a predominant feature of Xcel Energy Center over the last few years. The jerseys of approximately 200 high school hockey teams (almost all of the boys' programs and about a third of the girls) are on display on the Club Cambria Executive Suite Level. These pose a striking tribute to high school hockey in the state and highlight the hosting of both the annual boys and girls MSHSL tournaments each February and March in the arena. As a complement to the high school jersey exhibit, St. Paul Pioneer Press headlines from eighteen selected tournaments are displayed on eight support pillars that surround the lower level. The exhibit begins with the very first event in 1945 and includes representations from the second level boys’ tournament as well as the girls’ competition that began in 1995. Take a peek and find your high school!
