Very weak Tide Peak tide of 0.3 knots Average tide of about 0.1 knots. The flood tide runs east for the first half and then north-east for the second half. The ebb tide runs south-west for the whole period.

 South westerly winds prevail.

In August, dry sunny conditions and light sea breezes.

Sailing waters are open to the prevailing SW winds

creating an unbiased race area.

Large swells and waves are rare.

Small waves or chop develop with the onshore breeze.
