Decision of Faith!

• This physical world is what we grow up

knowing by experience. 1 Timothy 6:7;

Acts 17:26

• The heavenly world is what we learn about

and grow up in by faith and diligent study.

1 Corinthians 2:12-14

• Like Paul and Moses we need come to the

realization that “this world” has nothing for me

but God surely does have something waiting

for us. Phil. 3:1-11; Hebrews 11:23-ff

Lessons From The Past

• Moses’ parents displayed an example of

Faith in this truth that this world has nothing

for me! Hebrews 11:23; 2 Cor. 5:7

– Their faith led them to do other than “the world”

said to do. Exodus 2:3; 1:22

– They knew to obey God rather than men!

Genesis 18:19; Eccl. 12:13

– They knew it was wrong to kill the innocent.

Genesis 9:5-6; Proverbs 6:17

– Their faith along with Miriam’s was rewarded

and his mother was allowed to nurse Moses.

Exodus 2:8-10

Moses’ Faith Is Displayed! • We know that faith comes by hearing the

word of God. Romans 10:17

• Notice what Moses did by faith…

– When he came of age HE REFUSED to be

called the son of Pharoah’s daughter. V.24

– He chose to suffer affliction with the people of

God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin.

V.25

– He esteemed the reproach of Christ greater

riches than the treasures in Egypt; FOR HE

LOOKED TO THE REWARD. V.26; 1 Jn. 2:25

Moses’ Faith Is Displayed! • Notice what Moses did by faith…

– He stood for justice… Acts 7:23-24

– He thought that God would use him to

deliver the Israelites. Acts 7:25

– He forsook (left) Egypt! Hebrews 11:27

– He did not fear the wrath of the king!

– He endured as seeing HIM who is invisible!

• His heavenly Father whom he never saw

yet but trusted in Him. Heb. 11:1

• Moses showed by faith, this world has

nothing for me!

Do You Walk By Faith!

• Paul demonstrated the right way to live in

2 Corinthians 5:7!

• Like Moses, by faith we need to live for God

knowing assuredly that this world has nothing

for me but Jesus does! Heb. 11; John 10:10

• Be saved today by:

– Hearing & believing the gospel…Rom.10:9-10

– Repenting of sin… Acts 11:18

– Confess Christ… Acts 8:37

– Baptism into Christ… Romans 6:3-6

– Faithfully obedient living… Hebrews 10:36
