What is the purpose of tonight’s study?

To see that a righteous God must judge and punish evil.

To understand the finality of God’s judgment upon Satan and his wicked

establishment as well as those that worship him and his false prophet.

Page 4: The Revelation of Jesus Christ: Part 8

Revelation 15:1-215 And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God.2 And I saw as it were a sea of glass mingled with fire: and them that had gotten the victory over the beast, and over his image, and over his mark, and over the number of his name, stand on the sea of glass, having the harps of God.

Page 5: The Revelation of Jesus Christ: Part 8

The Seven Angels

Carrying the 7 plagues in 7 vialsThese seven plagues will be divine

judgment upon Satan and his system and the political power of the beast.

These seven angels are different from any other seven we have seen thus far.

God’s wrath “filled up”- to bring to a close, reach the fulfillment of God’s

anger.God’s anger is not an attitude rather His

judgement.

Page 6: The Revelation of Jesus Christ: Part 8

Revelation 15:3-43 And they sing the song of Moses the servant of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and marvellous are thy works, Lord God Almighty; just and true are thy ways, thou King of saints.4 Who shall not fear thee, O Lord, and glorify thy name? for thou only art holy: for all nations shall come and worship before thee; for thy judgments are made manifest.

Page 7: The Revelation of Jesus Christ: Part 8

The song of Moses and the Lamb

A praise song to the KingIt will be sung by the martyrs around the

throne.Sung to show adoration and praise to

God’s great and marvelous works. It shows God’s power, justice toward the

wicked and His ultimate glory.

Page 8: The Revelation of Jesus Christ: Part 8

Revelation 15:6-75 And after that I looked, and, behold, the temple of the tabernacle of the testimony in heaven was opened:6 And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed in pure and white linen, and having their breasts girded with golden girdles.

Page 9: The Revelation of Jesus Christ: Part 8

More about the seven Angels

They carry the plagues to the wickedTheir white garments “linens” are a

symbol of holiness and purity.Their gold breastplates “girdles” are a

symbol of glory (ultimately to God). They fly out of the Temple. Out of God’s

temple comes His, purity, holiness and glory.

Page 10: The Revelation of Jesus Christ: Part 8

Revelation 15:7-87 And one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever.8 And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God, and from his power; and no man was able to enter into the temple, till the seven plagues of the seven angels were fulfilled.

Page 13: The Revelation of Jesus Christ: Part 8

The command to pour out the vials

A commission by GodGod’s justice and righteousness requires

His wrath and judgment.God gave all those that will be punished

a free will and the choice to accept or reject the truth.

Ultimately judgment will come on those who reject God’s Truth

What can we learn?

God’s righteousness and Satanic, worldly wickedness cannot coexist.

Because God is holy and righteous, He must judge the wicked.

Everyone (past, present and future) is given a free will and we can choose to

accept or reject God’s Truth.
