IF JESUS IS LORD OF THE CHURCH …THEN THE CHURCH MUST:
Develop Disciples Send Missionaries
So wherever you go, make disciples of all nations: Baptize them in the name of the Father, & of the Son, & of the Holy Spirit.
Teach them to do everything I have commanded you. "And remember that I am
always with you until the end of time." (Mat 28:19-20)
When the seventh angel blew his trumpet, there were loud voices in heaven, saying,
"The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord & of his Messiah, & he
will rule as king forever & ever." (Rev 11:15)
This is to continue until all of us are united in our faith & in our knowledge about God's Son, until we become mature, until we measure up
to Christ, who is the standard. (Eph 4:13)
“Tularan ninyo ako, gaya ng pagtulad ko kay Cristo.” (1Co 11:1)
“Nakita ninyo kung paano kami namuhay sa inyong piling – ito’y ginagawa namin para sa inyong kabutihan. Tinularan
ninyo kami, at ang Panginoon.”(1Th 1:5,6)
Truth vs Lies• What is the truth that your people know &
practice?
* All truth is God’s Truth *
• What are the lies in your culture?
• What are the truths that counteract those lies?
Example Biblical Principles1. God created Man & Woman to govern creation2. Work is Holy (to be for the Glory of God)3. History is going somewhere4. Abundance is to be created & stewarded
Here are some examples of some important truths for the Maya culture in Guatemala

think through solutions)
• Wastefulness

Creation• Stewardship• Management of
resources
Man & Woman are created in God’s Image
Lies• Women are less
valuable than men• Men are stronger & so
have authority over all women
• Because women are not as worthwhile, man can do as he pleases to her
• All characteristics of God are masculine
Restores• Value of Woman • Relationship
between man & woman
• Mutual respect• Teamwork• God’s feminine
qualities
