People who are mature in their faith love God by having a daily time of prayer. In order to have a daily time in prayer that is uplifting and connects you to God requires the following elements. 1. Motivated by Desire. Prayer that is fulfilling is not based on rules such as the time and length one spends in prayer, but on a desire to spend time in Godʼs presence. Psalm 42:1 says, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.” 2. Managed by Design. Although we want to free our times of prayer from rules we need to manage and design times where we create spaces for God. We need to intentionally create sacred space in our lives to connect with God. This differs from a legalistic approach. Sacred spaces can be anywhere at anytime which causes our lives to be impacted by Godʼs presence throughout the course of the whole day. 3. Mentored by Discipline. A daily time of prayer is intentional so we need discipline to establish it in our lives. This means choosing time with God over T.V. or chatting on the phone. Discipline causes us to make time for prayer instead of only praying when we have the time. Those who only pray when they have the time usually live a life without prayer. P.T.

This Sunday:

Part of our purpose at KCC is to Love God.

Psalm 42:1 says, “As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for you, my God.”

2. Managed by Design. Although we want to free our times of prayer from rules we need to manage and design times where we create spaces for God. We need to intentionally create sacred space in our lives to connect with God. This differs from a legalistic approach. Sacred spaces can be anywhere at anytime which causes our lives to beimpacted by Godʼs presence throughout the course of the whole day.

3. Mentored by Discipline. A daily time of prayer is intentional so we need discipline to establish it in our lives. This means choosing time with God over T.V. or chatting on the phone.
