1. Allow God To Embrace You.

“How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called

children of God! And that is what we are!” 1 John 3:1

“Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for

you will not b shaken.” Isaiah 54:10

1. Allow God To Embrace You.

God’s Love Is Consistent.

God Love Is Unconditional.

“…I have called you by name; you are mine.” Isaiah 43:1

2. See Yourself As Belonging To God’s Family.

“His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into His own family by bringing us

to Himself through Jesus Christ.”

Ephesians 1:5

“In Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the

others.” Romans 12:5

3. Allow God To Encourage You.

“May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good

hope, encourage your hearts and strengthen you in every good deed and

word.” 2 Thessalonians 2:16, 17

“What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be

afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.”

4. Know That You Were Worth Dying For.

“When we were utterly helpless, Christ came at just the right time and died for us sinners. Now, no one is likely to die for a good person, though someone might be willing

to die for a person who is especially good. But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners. And since we have been made right in God’s sight by the blood of Christ, he will certainly save us from God’s judgment. For since we

were restored to friendship with God by the death of his Son while we were still his enemies, we will certainly be delivered from eternal punishment by his life. So now we can rejoice in our wonderful new relationship with God—all because of what our Lord Jesus Christ has done for us in making us friends of God.” Romans 5:6-11 (NLT)

5. Allow God To Empower You.

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him.” Philippians 2:13

“Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our

competence comes from God. He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant”

is needed to do every good work.”

“Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance

1. How do you see yourself? Has this morning’s message changed the way that you view yourself and/or the way that you think God views you?


2. If God views you in such a positive light, what changes do you need to make in order to live in this truth?


3. In what ways do you need God to encourage and empower you?

How does God’s encouragement and empowerment enable you to fulfill God’s purposes in your life?
