Scripture speaks of a secret place where we can simply go, be alone, be pro-

tected, pray, and hear from Yahuahshua. Knowing there is such a place is a

matter of faith. Going back time and again, that's a matter of building a rela-

tionship. You need not have an advanced degree in any subject, need not

have memorized Scripture from beginning to end, but instead be aware the

YaHuWaH of Y’ISCHRa’EL has a place for each Jew and Gentile who will

open their minds and hearts to Him.

Mt 6:5-8

When you pray, you shall not be as the role-fakers, for they love to stand

and pray in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may

be seen by men. Most certainly, I tell you, they have received their reward.

But you, when you pray, enter into your inner chamber, and having shut your

door, pray to your Father Who is in secret, and your Father Who sees in se-

cret shall reward you openly. In praying, don’t use vain repetitions, as the

Gentiles do; for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Therefore don’t be like them, don't you see that your Father knows what

things you need before you ask Him.

The truth in reality is visited in this secret place AND must be shared by those

who will live or else ... they will perish ... in darkness.

It is written

Lu 11:33

“No one, when he has lit a Lamp, puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on

a stand, that those who come in may see the Light.

Teh. 119:105

Your Word is a Lamp to my feet, and a Light (aur) for my path.

Page 5: Keepers of the Commandments

The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore when your eye is good, your

whole body is also full of Light; but when it is evil, your body also is full of

darkness. Therefore see whether the light that is in you isn’t darkness. If

therefore your whole body is full of Light, having no part dark, it shall be

wholly full of Light, as when the Lamp with its bright shining gives you Light.”

With this in mind, heart soul and strength let us study together in the Ru-

wach

Keepers of the commandments of the scroll of the Torah

Debarim 30:10

if you shall obey the Voice of YaHuWaH your Aluahiym, to keep His

Commandments and His statutes which are written in this scroll of the Torah; if you

turn to YaHuWaH your Aluahiym with all your heart, and with all your being.

If: All of these promises for the latter day still contain a conditional clause, something our

Christian shepherds told us was no longer part of the agreement.

Read it carefully

To keep His Commandments and His statutes which are written in this scroll of the Torah?

Blessings and Curses

History writes when the law was broken, the violation of the law produced its

fruits.

Debarim 30:11

For this Commandment which I command you this day, it is not too hard for you, neither is

it far off.

Contrary to what the corrupt shepherds taught us in order to keep us from the treasure

YaHuWaH had for us, the Torah is not impossible to keep, and it is not deadly. Christianity,

which says no one can keep it, is partially right; no individual can, but a whole people

together can! Moshe has been saying in many ways,

"You can do this! It isn't too hard!"

1 Yahuwchanan 5:3

For this is the love of YaHuWaH, that we guard His Commandments. His Commandments

are not burdensome.

In the Renewed Covenant--agrees that "His commandments are not burdensome."

YaHuWSHuWaH compared the "easy yoke" that he "lays upon us" with the heavy burdens

the P'rushim (Pharisees) were laying on people

Matt. 11:29-30;

Take My yoke [right standing/deliverance] upon you, and learn from Me, for I am tranquil

and I am meek; and in My heart you will find tranquility in your souls. For My yoke is

pleasant, and My burden is light.”

Matt 23:4ff

Page 7: Keepers of the Commandments

YaHuWSHuWaH answered them, “Be careful that no one leads you astray/deceives you.

For many shall come in [in [Greek "epi" = in place of/against]] My Name, saying, ‘I am

anointed, and the season is drawn near!' Yet they shall cause many to wander astray.

Multitudes shall come in My Name claiming that I am anointed and shall deceive the

masses. (from the Greek) [Luke 21: 8] (1st Seal?)

You shall hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, for all this must

happen, but the end is not yet. For ethnic group shall rise against ethnic group, and reign

against reign; and there shall be famines, deadly diseases, and earthquakes in various

places, and there shall be fears and terrors and signs from the shamayim

Luke 21: 11, and there shall much foul weather.

2nd & 3rd & 4th Seals?

Deuteronomy 32: 25

Outside the sword shall bereave, and in the chambers, terror; on both young man and

virgin, The suckling with the gray-haired man.]

Matt 24:8

But all these things are the beginning of birth pains.

The commandments of men we cannot keep, for they do not line up with reality. Their

overextension of the Torah is where the problem lies, not in the Torah itself. What is

written in it is all we are responsible to obey. A yoke gives us control over a burden and

distributes the weight both over the whole body so it will not be so difficult, and allows

more than one beast to share the same burden, making it much lighter on both. His yoke

is meant to be shared by all Ysra’al. A community can keep His commandments where

individuals cannot. The more we practice it, the more it becomes what we want to do, not

what we "have to do". Paul calls this verse the "word of faith"

This speaks of the righteousness that grows out of the Torah

Rom. 10:5ff

For Moshah writes about the deliverance of the Torah:

Leviticus 18: 5

You shall therefore keep My statutes and My ordinances; which if a man does, he shall live

in them: I am YaHuWaH.

Keep: another action word, which literally means to build a wall around or hedge in. I.e.,

do not just teach these make sure those under your jurisdiction are getting them done,

Page 8: Keepers of the Commandments

and bring correction to those who are not. This begins on the personal level, but then

moves up to the congregational, and eventually tribal and national level, for what would a

single person need with the "ways of carrying it out"? We need to become a firmly-

established rock to build His House on. But this requires understanding

Tehillim 119:144

Your testimonies are righteous into the Ages.

Give me understanding, that I may live.

for if we do not see their value, we will not care about guarding them.

Yechezqe’l 20:11-12

I gave them My statutes, and showed them My ordinances, which if a man does, he shall

live in them. Moreover also I gave them My Shabbaths, to be a distinguishing sign

between Me and them, that they might know that I AM YaHuWaH Who sets them apart.

reiterates the same, then adds the instruction about the Sabbath, which is given "so that

they may know Me". This is why He again tells us here just Who He is. If we want to know

Him, these are the things we must do and the things we must avoid, for they preclude His

presence. The point of all the commandments is to know His heart. Religion over-mystifies

things. While He has no limits, there are parts of Himself that He definitely wants His

people to know. The man: literally, Adam. Live: thrive or be revived (come to life again). If

as one unified man we follow these instructions, Adam (the complete, unmarred image of

ALuaHiYM) can be resurrected. We can then know YaHuWaH the way only someone in His

presence (as Adam was) can. The entirety of Torah is the remedy for our not taking

responsibility when YaHuWaH asked, "Who told you that you were naked?" Refusing to

take the blame always ruins a relationship. YaHuWaH's testimonies are eternally right; if

we can understand them, we will be revived, just as an ammonia ampule makes an

unconscious person "come to". We understand them by walking in them, and as we do,

YaHuWaH will again have someone with whom He can relate.

The Jewish New Testament reads

"For the goal at which the Torah aims is the Messiah who offers righteousness to

everyone who trusts.

Rom. 10:6

But the deliverance which is of belief says this, “Don’t say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend

into heaven?’ (that is, to bring haMashiyach down);

Rom 10:7

or, ‘Who will descend into the depth of she'owl?’ (that is, to bring haMashiyach up from

the dead.)”

Page 9: Keepers of the Commandments

Rom 10:8

But what does it say? “…the Word is to be very near to you, in your mouth and in your

heart for you to do it.”

Deuteronomy 30: 14

But the Word is very near to you, in your mouth, and in your heart, that you may do it.

that is, the word of belief, which we proclaim:

Roms 10:9

that if you will confess with your mouth that YaHuWSHuWaH is Master, and believe in

your heart that YaHuWaH raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Roms 10:10

For with the heart, one believes unto deliverance; and with the mouth confession is made

unto deliverance.

Roms 10:11

For the Scripture says: [and you will acknowledge that since I am YaHuWaH, those

waiting in hoping for Me shall not be disappointed.”]

YashaYahuw 49:23

Kings shall be your foster fathers, and their queens your nursing mothers: they shall bow

down to you with their faces to the earth, and lick the dust of your feet; and you shall

acknowledge that I AM YaHuWaH; and those waiting in hoping for Me shall not be

disappointed.”

confidence that we can actually fulfill the Torah. We should not say we do not need to

keep it since YaHuWSHuWaH already did; He made it even more possible for us to carry

out. Even though his yoke led him to an execution stake, and he calls us to follow him

even there, when it is for the sake of all Ysra’al and not just for self, it becomes much less

threatening. Not far away: It is even possible to keep our eyes on Yahrushalom from

anywhere in the world with the web camera! Knowledge is so easy to acquire compared to

past days, but all of this, we must remember, is only compensation for not being able to

actually be gathered yet.

Debarim 30:12

It is not in heaven, that you should say, “Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it to

us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?”

Sky: or heaven. Or, in heaven; it is not a mystery religion. There goes more Christian

theology out the window. The Kingdom is here on this earth, and the commands have to

do with that.

Page 10: Keepers of the Commandments

Debarim 30:13

Neither is it beyond the sea, that you should say, “Who shall go over the sea for us, and

bring it to us, and make us to hear it, that we may do it?”

Even before we get into the Land, we can practice it, if we know how to listen. Exile is no

excuse. No one has to bring it from somewhere else.

Debarim 30:14

But the Word is very near to you, in your mouth, and in your heart, that you may do it.

It is not complicated, impractical, or unknowable. It is fairly simple, if you bother to read

it. When our true neighbors--those of the same flock--are in close proximity, we can

practice Torah; how can we obey the commands to restore a borrowed item we have

broken or what has gone astray from its owner, if he is nowhere near us to lose it or lend

it to us? Right in your mouth: When you learn to speak Hebrew, the Torah becomes much

less complicated.

Debarim 30:15

Behold, I have set before you this day life and good, and death and evil;

After all those curses, it should be a "no-brainer" which one to choose, yet still we chose

death! Truth is stranger than fiction!

Debarim 30:16

In that I command you this day to love YaHuWaH your Aluahiym, to walk in His ways, and

to keep His Commandments and His statutes and His ordinances, that you may live and

multiply, and that YaHuWaH your Aluahiym may bless you in the Land where you go in to

possess it.

He tells us to guard every aspect of the Torah, so there is no room to wiggle out of any of

them. It is the choosing (see v. 19) that allows us to have it written on our hearts. It is not

our own personal lives we must choose (doing that is what got us into trouble), but the

life of Israel.

So we read

It is written in thy books, made plain, so that he who runs may read it. It is in thy mouth,

in the tongue commonly used by thee, in which thou mayest hear it read, and talk of it

among thy children. It is delivered so that it is level to the understanding of the meanest.

This is especially true of the gospel of YaHuWSHuWaH, to which the Talmidim applies it.

But the word is nigh us, and YaHuWSHuWaH in that word; so that if we believe with the

heart, that the promises of the Messiah are fulfilled in our YaHuWSHuWaH HaMaSHiYaCH ,

and confess them with our mouth, we then have YaHuWSHuWaH with us.

Page 11: Keepers of the Commandments

Debarim 30:17

But if your heart turns away, and you will not hear, but shall be drawn away, and worship

other mighty ones, and serve them;

Turns away: LXX, "changes". Note the progression in how our various members respond:

If our heart turns off our hearing, our feet will be pulled away by an outside source.

"Drawn away" could also read "compelled". Idolatry is the main issue, because YHWH

wants relationship with us more than any of the details, though they all add to it and there

is no contradiction between the two. But the big issue is that we are with Him

wholeheartedly. He desires obedience more than sacrifices, etc. (1 Shmu'el 15:22) In

contrast, if we "guard" His ways, we preserve our ability to hear and live as our true

selves, fulfilling the calling for which we were carefully and specifically designed. But the

guarding takes an interesting twist, because trying to keep the Torah for its own sake,

rather than for YHWH's and Israel's (not one or the other), can make it our ALuaHiYM. We

do not serve the words or the doing, but the purpose. Even if we kept every detail to the

letter, if it is for selfish reasons--like personal salvation--our righteousness will not surpass

that of the P'rushim YaHuWSHuWaH criticized. It must be kept in the context

YaHuWSHuWaH put it back into--the very context verse 20 below tells us it was meant to

be a means to: love. Make no mistake; the Torah is the key to our return. But it is a tool, a

means to the end, not the end in itself.

Debarim 30:18

I declare to you this day, that you shall surely perish; you shall not prolong your days in

the Land, where you pass over the Yarden to go in to possess it.

Does it mean that this time, if we turn away from habitual obedience, we will perish

altogether, and that there will not be another "doubling of the sentence" (Yirmeyahu

16:18) or "seven times" (Lev. 26:18)? I.e., once we've tasted of the power of the age to

come, which is the Torah, is there no hope of forgiveness (as in Hebrews 10:26)? This

should deter us indeed, but we must also remember that the Northern Kingdom did

completely perish at one time, and yet YaHuWaH has restored it. True repentance is

always a "game change".

Debarim 30:19

I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that I have set before you life and

death, the blessing and the curse: therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your

seed;

This calling of the most potent witnesses available is a common aspect of a covenant-

cutting ceremony. Survive: in order to love Him, not just for its own sake:

Debarim 30:20

to love YaHuWaH your Aluahiym, to obey His Voice, and to cleave to Him; for He is your

life, and the length of your days; that you may dwell in the Land which YaHuWaH swore

to your fathers, to Abraham, to Yitshaq, and to Ya'aqob, to give them.

Page 12: Keepers of the Commandments

This defines what life is and what love is and is not. Hold tightly: the term used of a man

"cleaving" to his wife (Gen. 2:24), for Y’isra’AL is YaHuWaH's bride. Paul prays that by

Messiah dwelling in our hearts, we may grasp what is indeed incomprehensible, and be

filled with all the fullness of YaHuWaH. (Eph. 3:18) Those who do return and have all the

curses that were on our ancestors removed will rebuild the ancient places that were

ruined, and be dressed as a bride! (YashaYahuw 61:1-10) He is your life: It is not His

provisions per se, but YaHuWaH Himself that sustains us (8:3), and we live only because

He chooses to remember us. How can those to whom YaHuWSHuWaH says, "I never knew

you", continue to exist? If YaHuWaH expels someone from His memory, where can he be?

It would be as if he had never existed. Life is not a qualitative thing that one can

measure; we can only see evidence that it is present or departed. The Messiah is also

called our life (Col. 3:4), because his redemption of us as kinsmen means we have another

occasion to not only rejoin the commonwealth of Israel from which we cut ourselves off.

Length of your days: Jewish scholars say that this means that your life will continue in the

age to come (the Messianic Kingdom). Look in the mirror and choose life.

YaHuWaH has called us to keep his commands, while reminding us that his laws are not

hidden from us or beyond our reach. Have you ever said you would obey YaHuWaH if you

knew what he wanted? Have you ever complained that obedience is too difficult for a

mere human? These are unacceptable excuses. YaHuWaH's laws are written in the

Scripture and are clearly evident in the world around us. Obeying them is reasonable,

sensible, and beneficial. The most difficult part of obeying YaHuWaH's laws is simply

deciding to start now. Paul refers to this passage in

Rhomaios 10:5-8

For Mosheh describeth the tzedakah which is of the Torah, That the man which doeth

those things shall live by them. But the tzedakah which is of faith speaketh on this wise,

Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring HaMaSHiYaCH

down [from above]:) Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up

HaMaSHiYaCH again from the dead.) But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, [even] in

thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we proclaim;

TZEDAKAH is of FAITH

See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;

YaHuWaH has made the human will free, and there is no power or influence either in

heaven, earth, or hell, except the power of YaHuWaH, that can deprive it of its free

volitions; of its power to will and nill, to choose and refuse, to act or not act or force it to

sin against YaHuWaH. Hence man is accountable for his actions, because they are his;

were he necessitated by fate, or sovereign constraint, they could not be his. Hence he is

reward able, hence he is punishable. YaHuWaH, in his creation, willed that the human

creature should be free, and he formed his soul accordingly; and the Law and Gospel, the

Page 13: Keepers of the Commandments

promise and precept, the denunciation of woe and the doctrine of eternal life, are all

constructed on this ground; that is, they all necessarily suppose the freedom of the human

will: nor could it be will if it were not free, because the principle of freedom or liberty is

necessarily implied in the idea of volition.

Ivrim 8:1

Now of the things which we have spoken [this is] the sum: We have such an Kohen

HaGadol, who is set on the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens; A

minister of the sanctuary, and of the true tabernacle, which the Master pitched, and not

man. For every Kohen HaGadol is ordained to offer gifts and these zevakhim (sacrifices):

wherefore [it is] of necessity that this man have somewhat also to offer. For if he were on

earth, he should not be a kohen, seeing that there are Kohanim that offer gifts according

to the Torah: Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Mosheh was

admonished of ALuaHiYM when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith He,

[that] thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. But now

hath he obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also he is the mediator of a

better Brit, which was established upon better promises.

For if that first [Covenant] had been faultless,

then should no place have been sought for the second. For finding fault with them, He

saith: Behold, the days come, saith the Master, when I will make a renewed Brit with the

beit Yisrael and with the beit Yahuwdah: Not according to the Brit that I made with their

fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of

Mitzrayim; because they continued not in My Brit, and I regarded them not, saith the

Master. For this [is] the Brit that I will make with the beit Yisrael after those days, saith the

Master; I will put My Torah into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to

them a ALuaHiYM, and they shall be to Me a people: And they shall not teach every man

his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Master: for all shall know Me,

from the least to the greatest. For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their

sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. In that He saith: A Brit Hadashah, He

hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old [is] ready to vanish

away.

The establishment of the new covenant, based on this return of the heart, at a time

appointed of YaHuWaH, will be something well defined. Here we have the principle of their

return when under the curse of the law they had broken. Hence, the apostle quotes this

passage for the basis of the principle, as a testimony given to what righteousness by faith

was, applying it to YaHuWSHuWaH Himself-the return of the heart to the object and end

of the law, when judgment was on them for its violation, and hope of righteousness by its

accomplishment impossible-how YaHuWSHuWaH was the end of the law for

righteousness. The principle is found here. The apostle brings in YaHuWSHuWaH as the

true accomplishment of it. At the end of the chapter, Moses declares that he has now set

before them the good and the evil, and that they would have to bear the consequence

Love feels no loads.

Page 14: Keepers of the Commandments

Yochann 1: 5:1

Whosoever believeth that YaHuWSHuWaH (ישוע) is HaMaSHiYaCH is born of ALuaHiYM:

and every one that ahav Him that begat ahav him also that is begotten of Him. By this we

know that we ahav the benai ALuaHiYM, when we ahav ALuaHiYM, and keep His Mitzvot.

For this is the ahavah ALuaHiYM, that we shomer His Mitzvot: and His Mitzvot are not

burdensome. For whatsoever is born of ALuaHiYM overcometh ha olam hazeh: and this is

the victory that overcometh ha olam hazeh, [even] our emunah. Who is he that

overcometh ha olam hazeh, but he that believeth that YaHuWSHuWaH (ישוע) is the BEN

ALuaHiYM? This is he that came by mayim and blood, [even] YaHuWSHuWaH (ישוע)

HaMaSHiYaCH; not by water only, but by mayim and blood. And it is the Ruwach that

beareth witness, because the Ruach is emet. For there are three that bear record in

Shamayim, Ha AVI, the Dvar (YaHuWSHuWaH), and Ruwach HaQodesh: and these three

are Echad. And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Ruwach, and the Mayim,

and the blood: and these three agree as Echad. If we receive the witness of men, the

witness of ALuaHiYM is greater: for this is the witness of ALuaHiYM which he hath testified

of His BEN. He that believeth on the BEN ALuaHiYM hath the witness in himself: he that

believeth not ALuaHiYM hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that

ALuaHiYM gave of His BEN. And this is the record, that ALuaHiYM hath given to us Chayim

Olam, and this life is in His BEN. He that hath the BEN hath life; [and] he that hath not the

BEN ALuaHiYM hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the

Name of the BEN ALuaHiYM; that ye may know that ye have Chayim Olam, and that ye

may believe on the name of the BEN ALuaHiYM.

And this is the confidence that we have in him that, if we ask any thing according to his

will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we

have the petitions that we desired of him. If any man sees his achi sin a sin [which is] not

unto death, he shall ask, and he shall give him life for them that sin not unto death. There

is a sin unto death: I do not say that he shall pray for it.

All unrighteousness is sin: and there is a sin not unto death.

All unrighteousness is sin,....

All unrighteousness against YaHuWaH or man is a sin against the law of YaHuWaH, and

the wrath of YaHuWaH is revealed against it, and it is deserving of death; yet all

unrighteousness is not unto death, as the sins of David, which were unrighteousness both

to YaHuWaH and man, and yet they were put away, and he died not; Peter sinned very

foully, and did great injustice to YaHuWSHuWaH HaMashiyach , and yet his sin was not

unto death; he had repentance unto life given him, and a fresh application of pardoning

grace:

and there is a sin not unto death; this is added for the relief of weak believers, who

hearing of a sin unto death, not to be prayed for, might fear that theirs were of that kind,

whereas none of them are; for though they are guilty of many unrighteousness’s, yet

Page 15: Keepers of the Commandments

YaHuWaH is merciful to them and forgives,

Heb 8:12,

For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I

remember no more

and so they are not unto death.

Oil of gladness

Yehudah 1:24

Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling,

and to present [you] faultless before the presence of His Kavod with exceeding joy,

Ivrim 1:9

Thou hast ahav tzedek, and hated iniquity; therefore ALuaHiYM, [even] Thy ALuaHiYM,

hath anointed Thee with the shemen sasson (oil of gladness) above Thy fellows.

We know that whosoever is born of ALuaHiYM sinneth not; but he that is begotten of

ALuaHiYM keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.[And] we know that we are of ALuaHiYM, and the whole olam hazeh (world) lieth in wickedness. And we know

that the BEN ALuaHiYM is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know

him that is true, and we are in him that is true, [even] in His BEN YaHuWSHuWaH (ישוע) Ha Mashiyach.

This is the true ALuaHiYM, and Chayim Olam.
