• They may not appear interested, but God can use you in their life.

• What you say and what you do can help them move closer to the Lord.

• You are part of the process.

• Prayer moves people closer to God.

• “The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, “We have found the Messiah” (that is, the Christ). And he brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him and said, “You are Simon son of John. You will be called Cephas” (which, when translated, is Peter).” (John 1:41–42, NIV84)

• Simon Peter was his brother and his business partner.

• After telling Simon about Jesus he brought him to meet Jesus.

• Bring them to church where they can experience the love of God and the power of the Holy Spirit.

• Many meet Jesus for the first time during a time of worship or in prayer.

• Jesus spoke a prophetic word over Simon.

• True prophetic words can have a deep effect.

The Effect of the Gift of Prophecy on Someone

• But if all of you are prophesying, and unbelievers or people who don’t under-stand these things come into your meeting, they will be convicted of sin and judged by what you say. As they listen, their secret thoughts will be exposed, and they will fall to their knees and worship God, declaring, “God is truly here among you.” (1 Corinthians 14:24–25, NLT)

• “The following day Jesus wanted to go to Galilee, and He found Philip and said to him, “Follow Me.” (John 1:43, NKJV)

• Jesus found Philip and Jesus spoke directly to him and invited him to become a disciple.

• Experiencing God's power to heal or hearing a testimony from some-one who has been healed miraculously can be a huge step toward believing in Jesus.

• We don't have to be good at words to tell people about Jesus’ love and power we just show them.

• Don’t limit God’s power by your lack of confidence.

• After Philip decided to follow Jesus he went and found a friend of his called Nathaniel.

• ‘Philip went to look for Nathanael and told him, “We have found the very person Moses and the prophets wrote about! His name is Jesus, the Son of Joseph from Nazareth.” “Nazareth!” exclaimed Nathanael. “Can anything good come from Nazareth?” “Come and see for yourself,” Philip replied. As they approached, Jesus said, “Now here is a genuine son of Israel—a man of complete integrity.” ’ (John 1:45–47, NLT)

•Nathaniel did not believe Jesus could be any good if He came from Nazareth. Nazareth had a bad reputation.

•Philip told about his own experience of Jesus and he didn't argue with Nathaniel’s judgement.

•Philip just said, "Come and see."
