ACKNOWLEDGEMENTWe would like to express our gratitude to everyone involved with this project and making it a success so far. We would like to thank the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology of JIIT, Noida for giving us the permission to commence this project.A sincere thanks to our project supervisor Dr. Vikas Saxena for providing us with the opportunity to work under him and helping us learn, grow and benefit from his expertise and immense experience. We thank him for his patient hearing of our ideas and opening up our minds to newer horizons.Last, but not the least, we would like to thank our family and friends who have supported us at testing times and helped us progress along the way.

SUMMARY The project helps in making the education system much more efficient. A projected image is edited with the help of a laser pointer and a camera. The motion of laser pointer is detected to select a part of the image. The selected image can be translated to a new location in the image. On selection an option is given to user to replace or override from its new location. The original image if overridden is replaced from its original location with neighboring pixel intensity.

Problem Statement-

The necessity to make the education system much smoother and efficient is the prime requirement of the project. It deals with the brand new technique of processing a projected image dynamically in real time. It aims at helping the tutor to make his task much easier and efficient. The project creates a way to select a part of the image with a laser pointer. The selected image can then be transported to a user defined different location of the image. The part of the image which has been transported now remains vacant and will be filled by its surrounding background colours or will be replaced

Findings The editing of projected image makes the presentation much more convenient to explain. The light conditions affect the pixel value and the intensity of the colours a lot making them a totally different colour in absence of light. The resolution of the camera used should be equal or more than the projected image size or it may lead to some distortion. With proper technological advances a lot can be done to bring new improvements in the methodological ways of teaching

Conclusion

The traditional “chalk and talk” method of teaching that’s persisted for hundreds of years is now acquiring inferior results when compared with the more modern and revolutionary teaching methods that are available for use. New methods of teaching have the purpose to improve the quality of education and involve students in educational process. Innovations mean a progress and development. The idea is to get students engaged and to connect their learning to the real world. As teachers, it’s necessary to be able to teach and remain engaging. It puts a greater level of responsibility on creating lesson plans that truly work. If teachers can show them how what they are teaching connects to the real world then their own brain cells are going to connect them and associate them. Teachers also find it easier as they can keep their lesson plans and simply go over them again with a more personal touch

Future workWe have planned the following things to do in future. The Menu will have much more options inside to make it more comfortable to use. One would be to save the changes made. The second would be to give a pencil to write in a rough space provided next to it. The third would be to provide some general information about the selected portion.A rough space is made virtually to the left of the slide. A pen can be used over that space to explain things better. The expand option would provide details about the selected part by searching about it in the net and applying proper data retrieval techniques. We also plan to make the UI much more convenient by providing a save button.
