Music video pre-production (Recce)

I will be filming in a field, I have chosen this location as the isolation of the area will reflect the isolation of the person themselves.

The presence of the trees and woodland area will give mystery to the shot and will represent the cause of the characters loneliness which remains unknown until the end.

I will be filming in the evening as the darkness will show the emptiness that he feels, however it will also emphasize the growing void between him and society.

I have chosen to film in a house as this will show that no matter how ‘at home’ they feel, they will still feels isolated and empty.

I will be using dark lighting to symbolize the sadness and to emphasise the ‘darkness’ of his situation.

I believe that the presence of a ‘broken’ home will both foreshadow the reason for their sadness and emphasize the feeling of loneliness; this is because connotations of a home would be warm and welcoming, however this one will subvert the norm.

I believe that this representation will allow the audience to sympathise and understand the extent of the problem.
