The famous, professional photographers help us in many ways by providing their tips and
tutorials. Martin Parr, one of the UK’s most eminent photographer says “Make sure people aren’t
smiling. Otherwise, you end up with a snapshot. Move in closer when you are taking people
shots.” A large number of people researching on digital photography find themselves as
beginners. Following are some tips by by expert photographers as a basic guideline for the
beginners.
Do not stress over the quality of digital camera
The success of a photo comes from the idea and the composition of the photo. That is, what to
include and what not to include. Though there are some digital cameras that gives a wide and
dynamic range. But only a camera cannot produce a stunning image.
Basic exposures
Learning how exposure works help to control the camera and take a better snap. Aperture
priority, Shutter speed, ISO combines to form an exposure. Aperture is the hole in the lens from
which the light passes through. The wider it is, the more light comes in and the narrower it is the
less light comes in. The light through Aperture passes to the shutter. There are different shutter
speed for different situations. The light lastly reaches to the ISO. One has to prioritize the
exposure through this.
Digital camera settings
The settings of a digital camera include the automatic and manual settings. A proper adjustment
of White balance, Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO, Exif data, Automatic Exposure Bracketing
(AEB) all are needed for taking a fine snap. Each digital camera has a different way of selecting
the programs through manual settings.
Photography is all about the thinking about the right light, quality and quantity. If one is looking
