MAPG 2014 NEWS - thanks to all the Hampon Roads Penturners who attended MAPG - Dan & Evelyn Maloney, Michael Flynn, Brian Nikitas, Dylan Nikitas, Peter & Toni Turbide, Bear Garvin, and Ed DePetrio. Brett & Kindra Ransom did a great job handling the contests. Brett also participated in the anodizing demonstration he will be repeating for our meeting this month. Fred & Tina Wissen were one of the vendors again this year. Fred demonstrated clear casting and Tina participated in the marketing panel discussion. See photos in the newsletter... Our next meeting will be held on March 24, 2014, from 9:30 am - 12:00pm at Woodcraft of Virginia Beach / Norfolk. Upcoming topics are Anodizing and Closed-End Pens. If you have made one of these pens before, or any other new pen projects since the last meeting, please bring it to the meeting to show every- one your new pens. The Hampton Roads Virginia Chapter of IAP are local penturners who get together every other month to share pen making ideas and provide hands on support to demonstrate other techniques. For our May 2014 meeting, we will demonstrating anodizing and closed-end pens.
