Engage EmployeesGiving back shows employees that your company cares about more than just the bottom line. Employees who volunteer are happier, healthier and more invested in their work. In addition, giving back as a team connects teammates to each other, the company and the community.

Increase Brand Visibility and LoyaltyCommunity involvement has a big effect on how customers view your brand. Being socially responsible creates goodwill and a positive image for your brand.

Rosa’s pay-it-forward pizza program began when a single customer asked if he could buy a slice for a homeless person. Customers purchasing a slice for those in need write words of encouragement on Post-it notes that are then placed on the wall to show that a slice was purchased. Homeless individuals may come in, take a Post-it off the wall and exchange it for a slice. To date, more than 8500 slices have been purchased, with Rosa’s feeding up to 30-40 homeless people a day. The program has earned widespread publicity for Rosa’s and even an appearance on Ellen for the owner.
