• The all India daily average rainfall is expected to be nearly normal through
the month of September. However, themonth’s cumulative rainfall may beslightly on the negative side of the long period average (lpa).
• Over northwest India, an active spell of rainfall is predicted during thesecond week of September. Thereafter the activity is seen to decline till theend of September.
• East and Northeast India would receive normal rainfall during September.
• Central India is likely to experience sub-normal rainfall activity during thefirst and second week of September. Thereafter the activity is seen to benormal.
• Rainfall over South Peninsula is expected to be normal with a couple ofactive spells during September.
