OPERATION BREAKTHROUGH BACK TO SCHOOL DRIVE LATHROP & GAGE LLP 20985793v1 11/17/13 1. Who did you help and what did you accomplish? We volunteered at Operation Breakthrough, a childcare and social service agency that serves more than 400 of Kansas City's poorest children every weekday - homeless children, foster children, children whose parents work at minimum wage jobs. Our firm, along with lawyers and judges from all over the city, put on a Back to School Breakfast for the children, with pancakes and backpacks full of school supplies for all. 2. What is your plan for ongoing relationship with this charity? Our firm serves Operation Breakthrough in a number of ways. We periodically go to the center in groups of five or 10 to help serve lunch to the children and talk with them while they eat. We collect needed items for them at the firm - everything from Halloween costumes to diapers. We sell the greeting cards the children make and shop for gifts for them at Christmas. One of our lawyers even serves on Operation Breakthrough's board. 3. What would your charity do with funds if it won some? Operation Breakthrough would use grant funds to continue giving free childcare, health and dental care, mental health services and parenting education and supports to their 400+ enrolled children and their families, 83 percent of whom are living on less than $15,000 a year.

1. Who did you help and what did you accomplish?

We volunteered at Operation Breakthrough, a childcare and social service agency that serves

more than 400 of Kansas City's poorest children every weekday - homeless children, foster

children, children whose parents work at minimum wage jobs. Our firm, along with lawyers and

judges from all over the city, put on a Back to School Breakfast for the children, with pancakes

and backpacks full of school supplies for all.

2. What is your plan for ongoing relationship with this charity?

Our firm serves Operation Breakthrough in a number of ways. We periodically go to the center

in groups of five or 10 to help serve lunch to the children and talk with them while they eat. We

collect needed items for them at the firm - everything from Halloween costumes to diapers. We

sell the greeting cards the children make and shop for gifts for them at Christmas. One of our

lawyers even serves on Operation Breakthrough's board.

3. What would your charity do with funds if it won some?

Operation Breakthrough would use grant funds to continue giving free childcare, health and

dental care, mental health services and parenting education and supports to their 400+ enrolled

children and their families, 83 percent of whom are living on less than $15,000 a year.
