You should have at some point before now, met with the creative team. Once you are all working on the same concept you should be able to move forward.

3 rd time you read the script you should have an idea of when you want things to happen. ( cues, timing, and looks.)

Make sure you have a chance to watch a run though of the full show. Often fi lming the run through, will make it easier to write cues later. Or asking the Stage Manager for a copy of the blocking.

You should have your research and concept laid out clearly in a presentation, once the creative team is all happy you can start to write cues.
