by Fabrizio Van Marciano - http://www.magnet4blogging.net/

Plan Ahead

You can’t possibly get anythingdone if you don’t have the tools.

So let’s start!

Plan Ahead

1. Get a diary

A diary is useful for allocating what days and times you have

to dedicate to blogging.Your diary should be used to schedule and prioritise

your work load.

2. Get a to-do list

Your to-do list is what’s reallygoing to help you get sh!£ done!Invest in a handy to-do list book

and start making a ‘prioritised list’ of the things you want to get done,

on the days you’ve allocated towork on your blog. Take charge of

your time!

3. Get a white marker board

Above my desk I have a whitemarker board. I use this to write

important tasks, post ideas, quickto-do lists, goals and objectives, targets reached amongst other

essential things. If you don’thave one, get one! It beats theheck out of using post-it notes!

Plan Ahead

4. Invest in other productivity tools

There’s a host of other productivitytools, services, apps out there

worth looking into. Take the timeto find the right ones for your

needs and invest in them. If youhave a smartphone or tablet PC,there are plenty of free and paid

apps to discover.

5. Allocate your work area

Blogging in your pyjamas is fine, buttaking your laptop to bed to work on

your blog isn’t fine! Find a spacesomewhere in your home, flat, sharedresidence, where ever you are! And

make it your allocated working space! You don’t need a flash office, you just

need a dedicated work area.

by Fabrizio Van Marciano - http://www.magnet4blogging.net/

Plan Ahead

6. Don’t procrastinate

What ever you do, avoid procrastinationat all costs! Take charge of your time,

turn off distractions. That meansturning off your phone, the television,

the radio, going offline even, and turning off what ever else that’s going on in the background that

could be distracting you.

by Fabrizio Van Marciano - http://www.magnet4blogging.net/

Plan Ahead

7. Set yourself small goals

Setting smaller goals will help you reach your primary goals, remember it’s about taking baby steps to where

you want to be, or what you want to achieve. Set yourself small daily tasks and what ever time you need

to complete those tasks.

8. Keep things tidy

I’m not saying you’re untidy, butpersonally for me, if I’m surrounded by

clutter, especially my work space,I won’t feel as if I’m organising

myself very well either. Keeping mywork and living space tidy gives

me a great sense that I’m in control, including being organised and

more productive.

by Fabrizio Van Marciano - http://www.magnet4blogging.net/

Plan Ahead

So there you have it!Let’s recap things quickly.

1. Invest in productivity toolsand apps

2. Allocate your work area3. Avoid procrastination

and distractions4. Set yourself small realistic

goals5. Keep things tidy
