Rationale of the project- What inspired us?

We all faced the same problem. Most of the times, when we charge our mobile phones and the only electric socket available is one that is above the ground (e.g. beside the light switches),the mobile phone would be either dangling in the air, above the electric socket or lying on the ground when charging.

Next slide for pictures.

So, we went to research if there was already a productin the market that could hold the phone when charging.

The phone might drop anytime. One knock and all is gone. One will step on it easily.

All these ways of putting your phone when charging are dangerous.

Existing solutionsAnd here is what we found. We realised that was somethingcalled ‘Phone Charger Holder’ out already. However, we found outsome of the Bad Points in the existing solutions to the problem.

Are you going to tie the wire so neatly before you want to charge? What if one wants to use it while the phone is charging?

Are you sure you want to charge your phone like that with the wire all over ,so messy? Will the phone fall easily if ones pull the wire by accident? Will there be a lot of knots if one brings this around?Next slide will tell us more.

~Problems~It would be very inconvenient for phone users to tie up the wire so neatly like that before they use it.

It would also be very troublesome if phone users want to use their phone when charging.

For picture A1,one simple knock and the phone will drop.

The wire is all over and it is too messy. There will be a lot of knots, especially if the phone user is one that brings it out to his/her (e.g.school,office).

When not in use, the wire will be left dangling in the air, an unsightly scene.

One might trip over the wires if the phone is being charged just above the ground.

The extent of the problem So what exactly is the problem?

The problem is that phone users without a phone chargerholder ,do not know how to charge the phone safely when theonly electric socket available is one that is above the ground(e.g. beside the light switches).

However, those with phone chargers holder have anotherproblem too. The problem is that the wire of the phone isalways too long and messy and it gets entangled easily.

(Cont’d) After our research…After some surveys we conducted , we realised that, people

do actually face the problems we stated in the previous slide.

Here are the results:

95% of phone users faces Problem 1.

70% of phone users faces Problem 2.

Our Solution

Our Solution

Our solution is to invent a new type of phonecharger that allows phone users to charge theirphone Hassle-Freely!

This invention, if successful, might be the newgeneration of Phone Chargers in the market.

What is our invention?

Our invention is a phone charger that will beable to hold the phone when charging. The wire of this phone charger is also retractable.

Note: Our invention is not something that you buy fromthe market and attach it to your phone. Ourinvention is actually a product that is sold originallywhen you buy the phone charger.
