• Readers are always attracted to uncovering the secrets of characters.
• So, create a secret that no one knows- except your readers!
• Example: the main guy is pretending to be someone he’s not just to cover his dark past. So he’s going to lie just to protect his real identity. This will give a hint of suspense to your story.

• As opposed to reality, create a character that has a little or no self-control.
• Let him or her act impulsively.• Like, make your heroine more entertaining by
letting her speak without thinking. Or, perhaps your lead guy character is very quick-tempered compared to typical guys.
