Water Purification

India has many resources to purify water. The municipal Committee of India uses some techniques to purify water are  

Sedimentation

Distillation

Flocculation

Chlorination

Firstly, the water is kept in a reservoir.

•Then, Water goes into a sedimentation tank in which the solid particles are allowed to settle down.

•After that, water passes through a loading tank in which suspended particles are allowed to settle down.

Then, water goes to a Filtration Tank.

When water passes through fine sand some solids or semi solids which are left stay between the sand. Some dirt which is left sticks to gravel. After this process the water is cleaned.

When the water passes through the chlorination tank Chlorine tablets are mixed in it. Chlorine is sufficient to kill bacteria in water.
