STUDY CHARACTERIZES KEY MOLECULAR TOOL IN DNA REPAIR

ENZYMES

The DNA needs constant maintenance for it have found a set of molecules that detect oxidative damage to sections of DNA molecules

STUDY CHARACTERIZES KEY MOLECULAR TOOL IN DNA

REPAIR ENZYMES• The Zf-GRF is found

in several molecules that work for the maintenance of DNA including APE2 which is an enzyme that is activated when DNA damage occurs and subsequently generate its repair

STUDY CHARACTERIZES KEY MOLECULAR TOOL IN DNA

REPAIR ENZYMESIf DNA repair is not generated after suffering oxidative damage this can contribute to the appearance of various diseases such as cancer

STUDENT´S OPINION

• It seems to me very important because having knowledge on this subject could be of great help to intervene in the progression of cancer or other diseases related to oxidative stress and possible solutions would be obtained on the therapeutic measures of these diseases in the near future.

PEOPLE WITH FORMS OF EARLY-ONSET

PARKINSON'S DISEASE MAY BENEFIT FROM

BOOSTING NIACIN IN DIET

University of Leicester.(2017,January 10).

PEOPLE WITH FORMS OF EARLY-ONSET PARKINSON'S DISEASE MAY

BENEFIT FROM BOOSTING NIACIN IN DIET

Niacin is necessary for the proper functioning of the brain since it intervenes in the process of synthesis of certain neurotransmitters such as serotonin being thus partly responsible for our good mood. In addition to being very useful in cases of schizophrenia, psychosis ...

PEOPLE WITH FORMS OF EARLY-ONSET PARKINSON'S DISEASE MAY

BENEFIT FROM BOOSTING NIACIN IN DIET

• In some cases Parkinson's disease may occur due to a defect in the PINK1 gene, which is found on the outer membrane of the mitochondria, and this is where the researchers' effect of niacin

PEOPLE WITH FORMS OF EARLY-ONSET PARKINSON'S DISEASE MAY

BENEFIT FROM BOOSTING NIACIN IN DIET

• After the study it can be determined that niacin would allow the mitochondria to be maintained in a good state and with it the more controlled family parkinson's disease

STUDENT´S OPNINION• It seems to me a very good research

since although it is not the cure for the disease, it is an improvement for the quality of life that these patients lead mainly because of the easy obtaining of the NAD since it would not be at the hand of some Few, but the therapeutic effect would be available to all.

MEDICAL UTILITY

Page 16: DNA REPARATION

MEDICAL UTILITY• Finding therapeutic

pathways in a disease such as Parkinson's is very useful because it would have a great impact on the deteriorated quality of life that these patients carry.

Page 17: DNA REPARATION

MEDICAL UTILITY

Discovering this type of enzymes such as Zf GRf can be very useful as they can be manipulated to intervene in the evolution of some disease such as cancer

Page 18: DNA REPARATION

MEDICAL UTILITY

• Both investigations, especially that of the enzyme, may have an impact on morbidity rates, increase the half-life in a patient suffering from cancer or other disease related to oxidative damage
