In this photo taken by Mario Testino, he has taken the photo portrait, he has done this simply because this photo is all about the facial expression, and the relationship of the two models in this photo and obviously in this photo the man has his arm around the dog, which symbolises a close and personal relationship and by the mans facial expression he looks like he is shouting. This is a close up of both models. The lighting in this photo is unnatural lighting as the light is just aimed at the two models and the background and anywhere else is a lot darker than the brightness of the models. The leading lines in this photo is the tie and the dogs mouth and teeth, each of these lead to the mans face which is the focal point in this photo, but isn’t the first thing that the audience would look at. The dog is. The dog is a unique asset to this photo as dogs do not feature in every photo we see in our time. So when the audience looks at the photo the first thing they see is the dog. Also, the dog almost looks like he is going to bite the man and he is screaming because of this, but obviously the dog is just barking or something and not attacking the man. The low key lighting in this photo allows the models to give off shadows onto the white wall which turns the colour to grey. The clothing in this photo is plain, as the man is wearing an all black suit, which all blends together which allows the audiences attention to stay on the mans facial expression. Even though the focal point in this image is the mans facial expression, the colours in this image make the suit, the dog and his head stand out. The setting in this photo is in a studio, with the iconic studio white background and set up unnatural lighting tells us this.

In this photo Mario has had this photo taken at a landscape angle. This allows the audience to fully see the photo. Most photographers do this with pictures which has a lot to tell the audience. He has done this because, for one if it was portrait then not both of the models would fully be in the shot only some of each and with this kind of photography (which would be used in the likes of clothing magazines and adverts for clothing) this is necessary for him to do. The colours on this are very simple. Just black and white. Now obviously Mario has taken the photo in colour then after the photo has been taken he has put the black and white colour over the top of the original. This creates an old kind of feel to the photo allowing he setting of the photo almost give It life in a sense of surroundings. The contrast within this photo is extremely deep with all the whites being grey and the blacks being dark blacks. This adds to the sense of the “old photo” look. Also this allows he faces and the outfits of the models to stand out to the audience. With all the blacks being a deep black then the whites are a lot brighter.

In this photo Mario has taken this photo in a portrait format to allow the audience to see the focal point within the image. The leading lines in this image are the woman's arms. The focal point in this image is the woman's ring. This is why Mario has got the colours in this image to be very bland and boring. This allows the ring to stand out to the audience. This image would’ve been taken to show the audience that the couple in this image has gotten engaged recently when the photo was taken. The contrast in this image is very low, as all the greys are light greys and in this image there is not any blacks in this image. The photo is a close up of the couple, again, to show the audience the focal point a lot easier. The lighting in this image is very high key with the photo being very bright and with a happy feel to them. This image is bright as the natural lighting in the image illuminates the couple allowing no shadows to be seen in the photo, this is from the angle of the shot by Mario. The setting of this image seems to be in a house next to a window. This image also has shallow focus with only the couple only being in focus In the photo.

In this image, Mario has taken this image on a portrait angle, with a extreme close up of the model, this allows the audience to see her facial expression and mainly her make up. This type of photograph would be used as something to advertise makeup in a woman's magazine. This image also follows the rule of thirds with the focal point (being the models face) being in the centre of the three boxes. This allows the audience to acknowledge the focal point at their first glance. This image has very high key lighiing with none of the photo being dull or anything, this allows the image to stand out to the audience. Also, the contrast in this image is very low, with the whites being extremely white and not grey and the darks just being black. The photo has deep focus with all of the photo being in focus allowing the audience to see everything on the photo.

In this image Mario has taken the photo landscape to allow the audience to see everything in the photo, from the plane to the hills in the background to then the model. The shot is a longshot, which we know because we can see the models full body. The shot is a very colourful and bright shot with the model wearing a total different coloured clothing to the settings. The setting is a white misty background with a tindge of purple in the clouds. The photo follows the rule of thrids with the model on the golden points. The leading lines within this image is the runway track, these lines point at the model as she is not in the centre of the image the audience may only see the plane at their first glance, but the different colour clothing would help with this. The photo has deep focus with all of the photo in focus, but with the mist/clouds making deeper into the background a lot harder to see, this isn’t what Mario has done on purpose.
