So many people could not believe how quick their properties sold after they took the advice of their property agent on how to de-clutter their garages and homes.

DO NOT JUST STORE EVERYTHING IN YOUR GARAGE:

You may decide to store all the unused items in the garage, as well as old magazines and books that you want to read someday. If you did not have time for that now the changes are slim that you will have time for this in future. Throw it out.Garages are usually the storing place for bicycles, tools and children’s toys. Nothing wrong with that, but take it away while your house is on the market.

Potential buyers will want to see the garage as well and if it is a mess you can lose the sale, they may think you are negligent with the up keeping of your property. It can make them turn away to look at more appealing places where everything seems tidy and clean.

LOOK AT YOUR HOUSE AS IF YOU ARE THE BUYER

Just think of when you bought the house. If it was not appealing and neat and tidy you probably would have bought somewhere else.

ARRANGE YOUR FURNITURE DIFFERENTLY

Take desks and chairs out of the bedrooms to make it look larger, your potential client will be able to see the full potential of your bedrooms. This goes for the living areas and all other areas as well.Store it somewhere else while you are trying to sell your house, even if you have to pay a few bucks for storage fees.

DO NOT NEGLECT LOOKING AFTER YOUR YARD

Trim wild bushes, cut the grass and see that the driveway is also not showing old oil marks.

DO NOT OVERPRICE YOUR HOUSE

Be realistic, the potential buyers will not be interested in your house should you charge a lot more than other similar houses in the area are selling for. In the end your property may be in the market for such a long time that buyers will be skeptical to buy.

LISTEN TO YOUR AGENT

Your agent will know how difficult it is to sell a cluttered house and will be able to give you expert advice on what you can do to attract as many buyers as possible.
