Editor’s letterLet me be the first to welcome you to Dallas. Being a Dallas Native, I might be a little prejudice, but I know you will find Dallas is a great place to call home. Some people refer to Dallas as Big D and I would agree with that also. It is Distinctive, Diverse, and Dynamic.

There is so much to offer here, from national sports teams, fabulous shopping, unsurpassed restaurants, great live theater and music, world renowned art museums, beautiful parks with miles of jog and bike trails to numerous other amenities.

The climate is such that you can spend most months outdoors. There are too many golf courses, both public and private, to count, lakes for boating and fishing and many outdoor fairs throughout the year.

The Dallas Ft Worth International Airport adds the advantage of travel to anywhere in the world, making this also an advantageous local for big business. Our large medical facilities located throughout the city, also makes Dallas a good place to retire.

I have compiled as much information about Dallas as I could find to provide an introduction to my great city. If you ever find yourself in need of a resource not listed in this book you can always call the Dallas Native and get pointed in the right direction.
