W80. Evolution of a Tecno classic

A commitment to technical evolution that offers a concrete response to the requirements of modern-day living has always been one of Tecno's most distinctive traits. An important milestone in this evolutionary journey is the new W80 partition wall, a product whose performance and aesthetic impact derive largely from its internal design: a large number of engineered components are hidden away inside and play a crucial role in the overall effect. The result is a modern partition wall that satisfies all possible structural, acoustic, equipment and flexibility needs and can be customised to suit any space.

W80 is a mobile partition wall with a total thickness of 80 mm, available in the following versions: Glass panel: double glazed, single glazed flush to exterior Blank panel: wood, metal, lacquered finish, fabric or plasterboard. The main characteristics of the partition are: •  Refined, sophisticated aesthetic design;

•  A technological heart that has led to the filing of 5 industrial patents;

•  Extreme ease of assembly and disassembly for subsequent reconfigurations;

•  Possibility of using different panels on the same profiles;

•  Excellent structural and acoustic performance.

The W80 partition wall system consists of extruded aluminium profiles with a telescopic insert and adjustment jack in technopolymer which makes it possible to compensate for any differences in the floor or ceiling level. The panels have an aluminium profile fixed to the top and bottom with double-sided structural adhesive. The shaped part of the profile makes it possible for the panel to be attached with a Snap-on system (patent pending) in co-extruded plastic.

The standard profile H 35 mm. This profile makes it possible to adjust the partition wall by 25 mm (+/- 12.5 mm). Suitable for floors with considerable unevenness. The low profile H 20 mm. This profile makes it possible to adjust the partition wall by 10 mm (+/-5 mm.) Suitable for floors with slight unevenness. The recessed profile H 35 mm. This profile guarantees an optimal aesthetic impact and is recommended above all for carpeted floors.

Upper profile H 35 mm. This profile is designed to house accessories such as motors for electric Venetian blinds or light fixtures. For large sites, in addition to the standard channel, there is also a special telescopic channel available which responds to the the deflection requirements typically associated with some buildings (also deflections of +/- 50 mm for a total difference in height of 100 mm). Installation The ceiling or false ceiling must be structurally suitable for supporting the partition wall system. Suitable ceilings are: cement slab, plasterboard false ceiling, other suspended false ceilings with vertical connections, metal false ceilings with a rigid bandraster, plasterboard partitions with internal wood or metal stiffeners.

DOUBLE GLAZED PARTITION SINGLE GLAZED PARTITION

Stratified glass 5+0.38+5 Standard height up to 3000 mm. Greater heights can be achieved either by increasing the thickness of the glass or by using glass top panels. The glass used is from the Blue Line. On request, extra-clear, etched or screenprinted glasses in various colours can also be used, with translucent coloured internal PVB. The innovative snap-on system, flush with the exterior, means that glasspanels are not a compulsory component of the W80 system, which enables the application of elements of different thicknesses, thus catering to a wide range of design requirements. In addition, on an aesthetic level this creates an attractive impression of suspended elements.

Venetian blinds Electrically operated The motor for the blinds is housed in the upper channel of the partition. The blinds are operated using a remote control or a wall-mounted button. An infrared sensor is positioned in the false ceiling. The blinds can be only adjustable or adjustable and closable.

Light fixtures Led or Neon The light fixture is housed inside the upper channel, flush with the glass panel. The light diffuser is made of opaline diamond polycarbonate designed to filter light.

Melamine Panel Thickness 18 mm. Panel faced on both sides and finished with 1.5 mm bevelled ABS edging. Available, for an extra charge, with MDF support. Wood Panel Thickness 18 mm. Wood veneer panel in the colours of the collection, finished with 1.5 mm bevelled wood edging. Lacquered Panel Thickness 18 mm. Lacquered MDF panel in the colours of the collection. For an extra charge, wood materials are available in class 1 or corresponding European classes. For greater sound insulation, a 40 mm thick pad of flame retardant polyester wadding is inserted between the two panels. Specifically selected finishes are available for large projects.

Plasterboard Panel Thickness 9.5 mm The plasterboard may be single sheet, or double where greater soundproofing is required. The plasterboard panel utilises the same bottom and top profiles as the other finishes, ensuring seamless aesthetic continuity. Other finishes may also be produced on site (gloss, brushed, etc.).

Fabric Tecno collection finishes The fabric may be applied to a plasterboard support with a frame or to a panel in particleboard. Leather Tecno collection finishes Fixed to a particleboard or MDF support. Partition with metal panels Press-formed0.8 mm sheet metal Applied to a 9.5 mm thick sheet of plasterboard or to a double sheet for greater soundproofing performance.

Blank partitions are also available with horizontal modules. The panels are snap-connected to the aluminium stringers using the patented snap-on coupling system. The stringers act as covers with a 5 mm joint in the case of profiles equipped with shelves, suspended containers, etc.

Glass panels The panels are connected vertically by transparent polycarbonate profiles with in-line, 90° and T-shaped joints. The profiles feature a double-sided adhesive tape that guarantees perfect structural union and sound insulation. Blank panels Blank panels are provided for 45° mitred corners and connected without visible 45° profiles.

Hinged Door Thickness 80 mm Tempered double glazed panel (2 x 6 mm) Tempered single glazed panel (10 mm) flush with the door exterior The doors have a total thickness of 80 mm flush with the wall and come with a sound insulation guillotine as standard. The hinges are completely concealed and feature a micrometric adjustment system. The door frame is in extruded aluminium with a door striker seal that can also be used for sliding doors; the lever handle has a Euro profile cylinder lock. An upper concealed integrated door lock is available on request. The doors can also be fitted with American locks.

Internal Sliding Thickness 23 mm Tempered double glazed panel (2 x 6 mm) The door is produced with a 23 mm thick perimetral frame in extruded aluminium, complete with sound insulation guillotine. The door element slides inside the adjacent glass or blank module and has a damper system for soft opening and closing. The door frame is in extruded aluminium with a door striker seal that can also be used for hinged doors. "Hook" lock with Euro profile cylinder lock. Integrated handle. "Drop down" system for closing the lower sliding compartment.

Hinged Door Thickness 80 mm Two faced or veneered panels (18mm) The door is available in melamine, wood or lacquer finish, leather or fabric. The door has a total thickness of 80 mm flush with the wall and comes complete with sound insulation guillotine as standard. The hinges are completely concealed and feature a micrometric adjustment system. The door frame is in extruded aluminium with a door striker seal that can also be used for sliding doors; the lever handle has a Euro profile cylinder lock. W80. Environmental sustainability Sustainability and Certifications

The W80 partition utilises materials which are totally eco-sustainable and recyclable: •  Aluminium

•  Glass

•  Wood materials used are certified FSC and/or PEFC •  Faced panels in colours MM0A and MM1F consist of panels certified as “100% recycled wood” The product is designed to be completely disassembled and separated into single-material components at the end of its life cycle, so that each component can be delivered to the dedicated recycling point. The packaging used is also recyclable or reusable after delivery. To ensure unwavering quality across products and the entire manufacturing system, Tecno Spa has had its Quality Management System certified to UNI EN ISO 9001 and its Environmental Management System certified to UNI EN ISO 14001.

Se la mobilità è un segno del terzo millennio, acquistano crescente importanza i beni, servizi e allestimenti collegati al fluire di passeggeri; tra questi i supporti per l’attesa. Tecno studia da tempo i temi di design per luoghi ad alta frequentazione, da questa ricerca nasce RS Railway System, la trasformazione in un prodotto di catalogo delle sedute realizzate da Tecno per le Ferrovie Francesi e firmate SNCF Agence des Gares - Jean-Marie Duthilleul.La ragione progettuale di RS è la segmentazione delle occasioni di utilizzo, la versatilità è dunque in testa ai motivi della sua rapidissima diffusione, e consiste nella capacità della struttura costruttiva di accogliere differenti scocche e/o accessori.Dal punto di vista tipologico, sono stati individuati tre livelli di postura: la panca modulare con schienale, la panchetta modulare senza schienale, ambedue con o senza braccioli, fissate a pavimento o con basamento mobile; e “la seduta in piedi” di tipo fisso modulare a posti individuali, atta a soddisfare le occasioni di brevi tempi di attesa.Dal punto di vista dei materiali e finiture, le scocche del sistema RS sono realizzate in alluminio color grigio metallizzato o personalizzato, alluminio e legno, legno, cuoio, consentendo per alcuni modelli anche l’utilizzo in esterni. Una scelta di accessori accresce la performance del sistema: braccioli di diversa sagoma, tavolini e/o piani d’appoggio in materiali diversi tra cui il cristallo colorato.

If mobility is a sign of the third millennium, then goods, services and infrastructures useful to passengers become essential. Public seating falls into this category. Tecno has been developing designs for high traffic areas for many years. The result of this research is the RS Railway System, a product listed in our catalogue of seating systems made by Tecno for the French Railways and endorsed by SNCF Agence des Gares - Jean-Marie Duthilleul.RS’s distinctive feature is its segmentation for different uses. Therefore, versatility is one of the main reasons for its popularity, and consists in the capacity of its structure to accommodate different type of seats and/or accessories. There are three basic configurations: the modular bench with a seat back, the modular bench without a seat back, both types with or without armrests, and with a floor-fixed base or a mobile base; and the modular perch - a type of fixed seating suited for short waits.The frames of the RS system are made in aluminium painted metallic grey or client’s colour specification, aluminium and wood, wood, leather. Some options are designed for outdoors use. A selection of accessories enhances the system’s performance: different shapes of armrests, tables and/or ledges in different materials, including painted glass.
