Script: The two articles that I have chosen for today are, man gets shot for texting in a movie theatre, and an 8 year old boy who risked his life to save 6 others. Man gets shot for texting. Let’s start with the movie theatre shooting. When you see the “No electronic devices beyond this point” signs, they actually mean it, and some people just learn the hard way. 43 year old Chad Ouslon was shot for texting in a movie theatre with his wife. It has been reported that Chad was texting his babysitter to see how his 3 year old daughter was doing, during the previews. It has also been said that 71 retired police-officer is the suspect, and has “requested Chad would stop texting several times” however “Chad refused, and threw a bag of popcorn at officer Reeve (suspect). It only took a bag of popcorn to send Officer Reeve over the edge causing him to immediately take out his gun and shoot the victim in the chest. Wife Nicole Ouslon has also been injured in her hand while trying to save her husband. 8- Year old boy saves the life of 6, risking his own. 8 year old NY Tyler woke up to a blanket on flames, and the sound of shouting and crying. As soon as he realized there was a fire going on he woke up the 6 people. Including 2 younger children the ages of 4 and 6. Tyler however after escaping went after his disabled grandfather. Unfortunately by the time he got there he was surrendered by heat and smoke. The two were found to together as Tyler was trying to help his grandfather before the flames had overtaken them. “Tyler and his grandfather were like best friends, says Vrooman. Tyler’s heroic act has been noticed all over the world, as his online campaign has raised over $28,000 this Wednesday, the 21st. Tyler will always be remembered as a hero.
