At it’s core, the Department of Licenses and Inspections (L&I) exists to enforce the Philadelphia

code and through education and enforcement of the code thereby protect the citizens of the City

of Philadelphia.

To fulfill the core mission, the following core services should be preserved.

Identification and enforcement of unsafe, vacant and imminently dangerous buildings
