Chhattisgarh Yojana
Chhattisgarh government launched a 'Chirayu Yojna' under National Child Health Programme which aims to provide free health screening to children upto 18 years of age, in the state.
Under this Chhattisgarh Yojana, 292 health teams comprising doctors and paramedical staff have been constituted which will visit different places, especially remote areas, for conducting free health check up.
All 146 development blocks of the state will be covered under this scheme. In addition the two teams have been assigned for each development block.
At Aanganwadi centres, the health screening of the children upto six years will be done at students between 6 and 18 years of age.
These students can be benefitted with a number of schemes in government primary, secondary, higher secondary and residential schools.
After screening health problems such as cough-cold, vomiting, fever, anaemia, deficiency of iron and vitamins, dental and vision related complications and other ailments, the children will be provided further treatment.
A Chhattisgarh Yojana named Swavlamban Yojana which allowed 500 women to get benefits of job-oriented programme to make the beneficiary self reliant in terms of employment.
The Swavlamban Yojana was started in 2009-10 in Chhattisgarh. The scheme is being implemented by the women and child welfare department of the state government.
