ADDENDUM: RAW DATA SUMMARY
The following is a collection of graphs that summarize the raw data underlying Edelman’s Capitol Tweets study. All of the graphs in this addendum represent “per-handle” averages; that is, the data have been normalized on a per-handle basis to illustrate the performance of individuals within cohorts of different sizes. Twitter data for this study, including all tweets, timestamps, follower counts and any associated metadata were provided by Simply Measured. Please see the full Capitol Tweets study for in-depth analysis of these data points, including historical context, Twitter Best Practices for Members of Congress, and an expanded methodology.
